Some things, gratefully, never change: the taste bomb in your palette with Lucio’s very own linguine alla vongole. My bf got the pappardelle con ragù and was thanking me for days, daydreaming about the slow-cooked perfection. Start with the courgette flowers and don’t forget to ask for wine recs from super friendly Dario, Lucio’s son, or Lucio, the king himself :) Now I know why Lady Di was simply obsessed with San Lorenzo, Lucio’s previous. The torch has clearly been passed. Tables are snug, so prepare for unfiltered ambience: our neighbours were mid-affair and mid-burrata, with her hissing, “Just leave your wife already!” between bites: which even failed to distract us from the gastro joys. Oh and best reserve!

my wife and i have been going here regularly for many happy years - a total delight every time - excellent authentic fresh traditional cuisine and very knowledgable service in a relaxed subtle decor - their repeat business is massive so always book a reservation - seats are like gold dust - do not go if you are looking for the hip trendy selfie show off crowd like certain Kings Road haunts - long live Lucio and his team -

Aussie Cricketer 'Shane Warne' mentioned about this restaurant for Italian food delicacy and nice taste in his autobiography 'No Spin'. So its worth to visit. Dont know even owner of this restarent is aware of this or not!

Interesting small menu and daily specials ( latter verbally advised at speed with no pricing info given - a small piece of paper clippedd to menu would be useful). Food was good though excellent meat in lamb ragu woul have benefited from a small amount of tomato to provide a bit of acidity and colour.

Bill arrived with no proper breakdown ( normal in cheaper end Chinese restaurants in soho and Queens way but NOT on Fulham Road) rather line items for x starters, y mains and z desserts.

Our US host didn't make a fuss but later said he can't claim as an expense without a proper item by item breakdown.

Lucio can and must do better...

Until you get to eat the starter it takes 25 minutes, if you order a glass of wine, it takes the same... they do not even update you or apologize for the delay. Oh! And to get a simple plate of pasta it does take 45 minutes. I suggest you go eating somewhere first and then go to this place if you must. I went here many times, because I live close by and the food is good. However, each time it takes ages to get the food. And this time I had enough: I left the restaurant tired of waiting for the main course! SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT OF LUCIO...
