Some things, gratefully, never change: the taste bomb in your palette with Lucio’s very own linguine alla vongole. My bf got the pappardelle con ragù and was thanking me for days, daydreaming about the slow-cooked perfection.

Now I know why Lady Di was simply obsessed with San Lorenzo, Lucio’s previous. The torch has clearly been passed.
Tables are snug, so prepare for unfiltered ambience: our neighbours were mid-affair and mid-burrata, with her hissing, “Just leave your wife already!” between bites: which even failed to distract us from the gastro joys.

Food was good though excellent meat in lamb ragu woul have benefited from a small amount of tomato to provide a bit of acidity and colour.
Bill arrived with no proper breakdown ( normal in cheaper end Chinese restaurants in soho and Queens way but NOT on Fulham Road) rather line items for x starters, y mains and z desserts.
Our US host didn't make a fuss but later said he can't claim as an expense without a proper item by item breakdown.

Read moreUntil you get to eat the starter it takes 25 minutes, if you order a glass of wine, it takes the same... they do not even update you or apologize for the delay. Oh! And to get a simple plate of pasta it does take 45 minutes. I suggest you go eating somewhere first and then go to this place if you must. I went here many times, because I live close by and the food is good. However, each time it takes ages to get the food. And this time I had enough: I left the restaurant tired of waiting for the main course! SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT OF LUCIO...
