I booked here for the first time for my daughters 16th Birthday, as I'd seen many reviews saying it was perfect for such an occasion. I called and spoke to someone as I have 1000 allergies and needed to know if they could cater for me. I spent at least 20+ Minutes giving a list of my allergies and was assured that they'd tell the chef and resturant staff and all would be well and not a problem. They even said I could bring my own sides if I wanted to. I had a cake made to bring also and was told it could go in a fridge or be put somewhere to bring out when ready. I called closer to the date to confirm and on the day and was told yes we have a lost of all the allergies here and the cake coming and all will be fine. It was booked for 4/4.30pm and we were seated upstairs by the door for accessibility for my parents who are in their 80s. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our table for 7, including a child. A bit cramped and all the tables were different sizes pushed together. It was quite a dark setting. I asked where to put the cake and was told I count put it in a fridge and there was no where they could put it. It wasn't big. So had to leave it on a window ledge. The menu was confusing and you could only order off of one side of the menu. Also there was apparently no evidence of my allergy list despite calling the same day and being told they were aware and had the list and no care about it either. The food after ordering came out pretty slow and the servers were not attentive. Orders were forgotten and drinks were forgotten and it took an age to get things rectified. Now, I had to ask what was in the ingredients of certain things I wanted to order and the servers were like, 'I don't know, do you want it or not!' One innparticular had no clue and didn't care. After figuring out I couldn't eat certain things for myself. I went home hungry because of the inconsiderate staff. The ribs were either all fat and barely any meat or dry as sand. The atmosphere wasn't a setting for a 16th birthday dinner and my daughter didn't feel comfortable there. So we just took the cake home and continued to celebrate there. For being in Chelsea, and all that was promised, the over £400 bill, time and effort for my daughters birthday, was not worth it. I wouldn't recommend and none of us will be...
Read moreVisited last night on recommendations that this branch was good for the seafood part of their menu. Specifically went to try their lobster. Food: For starters we shared a plate of hot wings which weren't hot but good size. For mains we ordered the 1.5lb lobster which normally comes with fries and salad and a drink (prosecco, beer or alcoholic slushy). Substituted fries with coleslaw. Lobster was fresh and tasty but slightly over cooked with some rubbery parts which was disappointing. Coleslaw was really nice. Salad however was very small with just a few tomatoes, rocket leaves and 1-2 baby spinach leaves...looked more like a plate garnish than an actual proper sized salad. My partner had the same meal but kept the fries which had the perfect combination of crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For desert we went for the slice of banana pie and apple & cinnamon waffles which were both very nice. Service: The waitresses were friendly and the ambiance was lively. When we did mention the rubbery lobster the waitress didn't seem to understand that this was actually an issue and fobbed us of as though it was a "taste" preference issue which showed a lack of knowledge on her part as to how lobster should be cooked. It's a shame as it would have made a huge difference to our overall experience. If the lobster was overly rubbery then I would have definitely requested for another one however on this occasion it was only slightly rubbery but I still thought of mentioning it so that it could be passed onto to the chef who prepared it. The least I expected was maybe an apology from the waitress and to say that she would pass on my comments to the chef. I don't complain for fun! lol Looking back perhaps it would have helped if I specified how I expected the lobster to be cooked so to avoid any disappointment. For the price of the meal I would have expected it to be on point and to have a proper portion of salad as well. The rating is based on my overall experience at this branch however having been to the covent garden and canary wharf ones I have never been as disappointed with the other food on their menu so this could just be a fluke. Please don't ever disappoint me again...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend, we left with very mixed feelings. It stated okay, we were welcomed and seated. Ibrahim was our waiter. We ordered two unlimited home smoked bbq and my husband ordered unlimited beer. I didn’t, I said I would have one. We got our first round and it was good. The pulled pork was delicious. The ribs were good and the chicken also. It comes with cornbread, beans and coleslaw. Then my husband ordered and other beer and round of meat. He had to ask twice to get it. Every time he ordered an other beer I felt watched by our waiter if I’m gonna drink or not. (I didn’t) I just didn’t feel comfortable. The second round of food you wouldn’t get the bread and the beans and I’m 100% positive it’s LEFTOVER food. The pulled pork was super fatty, and dry, the chicken was disgusting and the ribs were also dry. Honestly it’s just not worth it. We got the bill and we were charged for 2 unlimited bbq with unlimited beers. We asked Ibrahim to correct it as only one had unlimited beer, and to remove the service charge. He got the bill and the service charge was on. He punched the card machine without the service charge and we said we would pay cash. The bill was 70.60, he got our change £8 and he said he owes us £1. I was angry that time so when my husband left him change I took it. Just before we left my husband realized he left his umbrella so he went down to take it when Ibrahim said ‘there is no cash on the table’ I mean who does that??! He did his job okay, nothing special. I give tips when they deserve it but he didn’t move his little finger, he didn’t even clean the plates when we finished and brought new ones we had to keep pulling one on top of each other. Other food on menu might be good but the unlimited bbq is just a dump of leftovers and dry food. Disappointing experience! Will not...
