Parking is very hard in this area , so drove up alley to check if shop had a rear drive which they did with 3 empty spaces maybe 4 and a sign that read Madisons bakery , so left wife in car whilst I whizzed round the front and spent £16 in bakery , walked back to car where the rear gate opened and a very stern faced lady “rudely” said no parking , I held up my bag of bakery goods and said it’s ok I went to your shop , well no parking for customers , I said ok noted and the door slammed back shut , don’t get me wrong no parking is no parking and a sign should be placed clearly or a simple chain , it was the look I got like I was something on the bottom of her shoe , if I had a bakery and a customer wanted to use that quickly to spend nearly £20 in my shop I would be all over it . I know a few people that use this place and I will be letting them know , it seems the only way people listen to customers is with their feet and wallet. Read moreThis is a really lovely bakery. My husband has visited loads of bakeries, trying to get crispy, well done rolls. This is the only one we have found in bexleyheath. All the cakes are first class and very traditional. They also serve drinks, sandwiches, sausage rolls etc., to have in or take away. The staff are very polite and friendly.
