Madras Accent in Bromley presents an exciting and refreshing take on South Indian cuisine, standing out as a unique addition to the local dining scene. On our first visit, we were intrigued by the creative menu and pleasantly surprised by the warm and engaging service. From the outside, the restaurant appears modest, but the interior is cleverly designed, offering a cozy yet spacious dining environment. The seating arrangements include booths, which add an intimate touch to the experience. Starters: We began with the poppadoms and okra fries. The poppadoms were fresh and crisp, while the okra fries, though delicately cooked, could benefit from some improvement. The texture was a bit too brittle, and the flavor profile felt underwhelming. A touch of garlic spice or a bolder seasoning could elevate this dish and add depth to the okra. Mains: The mains were the highlight of the meal. The Paneer Butter Masala and Butter Chicken were bursting with authentic flavors, beautifully balanced with spice and richness. We appreciated that the restaurant was accommodating in adjusting the spice level to our preference, a gesture that made the dishes even more enjoyable. The paneer was soft and well-marinated, while the butter chicken was rich and indulgent without being overwhelming. To accompany the curries, we opted for parathas and chapatis instead of naan. The parathas were exceptional—fluffy, crispy, and perfect for scooping up the flavorful gravies. The chapatis were also skillfully prepared, light, and satisfying. It was a welcome change from the often heavy naan bread. Service and Ambience: The service started strong, with the staff warmly recognising us as new customers and engaging in friendly conversation. However, there were minor lapses as the meal progressed. For instance, cutlery was not provided initially and took some time to arrive even after we requested it. While it wasn't a busy evening, a little more attentiveness from the staff would have enhanced the overall experience. Drinks and Dessert: To round off the meal, we tried the masala chai, which was a perfect finish. Its robust, spiced flavor provided a comforting and authentic end to the meal. Overall Impressions: Madras Accent delivered an impressive dining experience with its authentic flavors and thoughtful menu. While there are areas for improvement, such as seasoning adjustments for certain dishes and more consistent service, the quality of the food and the inviting atmosphere make it a place worth revisiting. We look forward to exploring more of their offerings on our next visit. This is a promising gem for those seeking genuine South Indian flavors in Bromley!

When they to get the offer on the door on chicken biryani buy one get one free £4,99 So you think that's how much you're going to pay? but they charge me £13.74 Buy one get one free miss leading advertisement, one of my chicken biryani have no chicken just rice and a big Piece of cinnamon. You get one leg of chicken but The other leg went missing Very spicy for me. But the rice was OK Also the staff disn't invite me in they left me and my child outside the door They Should offered me to come in with my child and seat down and wait for my food They even came with the card machine to pay outside the door Also the place was not even busy Last time and only time we will become here no more not happy at all was going to bring my wife here for anniversary? Poor service, average food, unimpressive ambience , above average prices! Went for dinner with a group of 5 and had one of the poorest experiences in an Indian restaurant as a regular Indian restaurant visitor The worst part of the experience was service which included in-compassionate attitude towards a child and their parents in the group, not getting order together (my order came in three parts; sambhar first, then dosa and at the end masala) The food was average; some items tasted alright, some were decent and some could be done better The place seems cramped for space, resources serving tables are low and lacks a sense of professionalism Other South Indian places around have great service and better food Recommendation: Skip!

My wife and I recently had a disappointing experience with Madras Accent. We called the restaurant to inquire about their advertised Onam Sadya, and a staff member named Kamalesh directed us to place the order through their website. However, we encountered issues with the website, so we called back to report the problem. Unfortunately, our call was left on hold for nearly 15 minutes without any response. We attempted to call back nine times but found the line was busy each time. Eventually, we were informed that the Sadya was sold out.

Still hopeful, we tried calling once more using my wife’s phone, and this time the staff mentioned that dining was available. Trusting this information, we went to the restaurant around 1:30 PM. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait. After a lengthy wait, Kamalesh informed us that the Sadya was available only through pre-orders. This crucial information should have been communicated when we first arrived, rather than making us wait outside. a restaurant, orders should typically be available upon arrival rather than requiring pre-orders. If pre-orders are necessary, this should be clearly stated in their advertising . I then requested a seat for my wife, as she is pregnant and couldn't stand for long. With no other option, we ended up ordering fried rice and pepper chicken.

This whole experience was incredibly frustrating. If Madras Accent is organizing events like this, it is essential to communicate clearly that pre-orders are required. Moreover, if they run out of food, they should promptly inform customers.

A humble suggestion: the staff should be trained to handle phone inquiries professionally and be well-informed about the menu and any special event operations, especially during significant occasions like Onam. The Onam Sadya is an important meal on this day and the lack of proper coordination and communication was extremely...

I think we maybe got unlucky on the night, as we'd been here before and it was really good. However tonight the service was pretty bad. When we arrived we asked if we could order drinks. The guy disappeared and we asked him again about 10 minutes later. At this point there was only one other table who were finishing up. He did the same thing again. He finally appeared to take our order. We thought after the previous time we'd been we could just ask for recommendations, but he was clearly struggling to understand. Anyway we went through ordering. 10 minutes later another guy appeared to take our order again, or confirm what we'd ordered. We asked for a selection of starters for 6 people to share, plus mains each. We went through it again and thought we were sorted. It took an hour from the time we arrived to get our drinks. The drinks were served one at a time with 2 minute intervals and we were a group of 6. We had to ask for water again as that was missing. The plates were also brought out in the same manner. We were eventually brought out one starter and the rest were missing. We'd waited so long we really couldn't be bothered to re-request the starters. The food was pretty decent when it arrived, but the wait time and service provided was the total opposite experience to the...
