The best toasted sandwich of my life, hands down. This place always delivers quality, hearty food, and the owners are some of the nicest people you'll meet. Now, onto the sandwich: the focaccia is a game-changer, made the night before and baked fresh every morning. The halal chicken, perfectly grilled and coated in a bold, spicy seasoning, pairs incredibly with the creamy Brie. Add in a fresh pesto, spinach, and then toast it all to perfection—when it’s done, the sandwich is pressed together, and the melted cheese oozes out with each bite. Absolutely heavenly. All of this for just £8. I'd bring my ancestors back just to have them try it!

I went to this place at lunch time. Pastas and pizzas are their main sells. I did find the pizzas to be poor value (£4 for a rectangular slice). The pastas did look appetising but there were no classics. I selected the broccoli risotto on display which was ceremonially taken to the kitchen not to be seen until 10 mins later only to return reheated. You are asked to pay only when it is packed which means you just hang round and orders do get mixed occasionally -‘risotto anyone?’. I do think the method of serving could be improved here. Overall it was a nice and simple lunch.

I have been coming here for over twenty years. Tony and his crack squad of pizza and pasta makers are the best in the business, and our many others to shame. If you want domino’s quality or price, don’t come here, but if you want artisanal italian, then come on down. They offer a range of pizzas, focaccias and pasta, as well as drinks and desserts. Highly recommended!

I have been to the Clarkenwell Road branch, I wish I hadn't. The pizza base was more like a pastry, stone hard (my dentist will love it), the topping to what's left after you peel the waxed paper off was ok'ish. Nothing to write home about. It was very oily however nothing wrong with having an oil change from time to time. Would I visit this place again? Not really. Would my my dog love it? Not really. Italian Pizza is certainly something else and the owners should do a crash course on how to do a proper dough. Also spending this sort of cash for lunch, you would assume to get the slices into a nice card board box, together with tome tissues to wipe the grease off your hands... not here... bring your own everything... . My colleagues have had the same "oily" experience. No wonder they need dough like granite otherwise that thing would be soggy after 1 minute. I wish I would have taken the cash over to The Griffin, at least you get value for...
