I’ve only given one star because I have to in order to leave a review, If zero was an option I would’ve given that.
I went to this McDonald’s drive thru at 11:30pm on a Saturday. After we had ordered our 5 caramel frapps we were told to wait in bay 1, bearing in mind that there was no one behind us and this is meant to be a fast food service so I don’t see the reason to be told to wait in the bays.
After we had received our frapps we had went home to enjoy them. As we started drinking them we realised there was nothing coming up. After inspection we poured half them out to realise the frapps were full of ice in big blocks where it was not even drinkable.
We had gone back to the drive thru to explain what happened and to ask for a refund. The man in the window was at first refusing to admit that he served us ice in our frappe and accused us of drinking the frappe and he could only issue a refund for two. After asking for a full refund he then said that the tills were closed, which doesn’t make sense as he offered us a refund for two but now he couldn’t offer us a refund at all… very strange.
He had finally admitted that the drinks they served us were full of ice and could only re make them for us. He asked us to come back tomorrow like I don’t have anything better to do tomorrow. After a hostile interaction we had to reluctantly agreed to getting the drinks remade which we did not even enjoy due to the circumstances.

Read moreOne of the most apalling restaurants I’ve visited. The store was littered with rubbish - uneaten food and disused boxes sauce pots to name but a few were scattered on most tables and on the floor and not one member of staff could even be bothered to clean it. We had to wipe our own table and seats before we ate.
Staff at Gallions Reach Mc Donald’s seemed more interested in laughing and joking amongst themselves than doing their job correctly. When the chips arrived they were stale and cold. We asked for them to be changed to fresh fries and left ours on the front counter where customers collect their food - they sat there for almost 10 mins before a member of staff threw them in the bin. When the fresh chips arrived they were only half filled which is such a disappointment.
Then to top off this dreadful experience, halfway through our meal we were asked to leave as they were closing the store early that night. There were no signs to let customers know they would only get limited time to enjoy their meal, nor were we told when we placed in our order.
As a franchisee of another popular fast food chain myself, I can tell you now the way this store was run was a total and utter shambles and all staff working the evening shift on 29th September should be retrained in how to conduct themselves in a food establishment.
Needless to say, I’d rather go hungry than ever waste my money in this restaurant again. Will stick to Beckton McDonalds just a five minute drive up the road. Customer service and food never...
Read moreI had one of the worst experiences at McDonald’s yesterday . The customer service was absolutely terrible! The staff seemed completely uninterested in doing their job. I waited an unusually long time for my order, only to get home and realize they missed some of my items! Not only was my meal incomplete, but when I tried to call the store to address the issue, no one picked up.
It’s incredibly frustrating to pay for something and not get what you ordered. On top of that, the employees were rude and dismissive when I tried to clarify my order at the counter. It felt like they couldn’t care less about their customers. We then had to go and drive their ourself to discuss the issue and the employees were rude and making unnecessary remarks behind the counter, the manager that came was completely rude and was laughing while trying to discuss this issue. This attitude frustrated me a lot as they were not trying to apologise this caused me to throw their supplies across the counter. As I had to drive 25min there and back just to discuss this issue and wasted £15 of petrol and they was laughing and being disrespectful saying remarks like “they came for one cheeseburger” this was not needed. Then on top of that one employee tried stand up to me.
This kind of carelessness and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. McDonald’s needs to do better if they want to keep loyal customers because I’m not coming back to this location anytime soon.
