UPDATE from 14/7/24: Unfortunately, after visiting this place regularly, we have discovered that the service and food you get here depends wholly on the staff at the time. If there is a person who ensures quality all around, you get an excellent experience. However, if these people are missing like on this day of the euro finals, the breakfast was sub par. The sausages were burnt and the humble omelette and ham hit rock bottom. We were astonished at how an omelette can get so bad. We had to let a member of staff know about this and had the plate taken away for a refund. UPDATE from 30/6/24: I made my routine visit here today and was surprised that my feedback was read and the staff member, Amy, remembered where the review came from (which was surprising considering the amount of people who visit the cafe), discussed the issues with the quality of food last time and then I had the full mellows breakfast which was perfect. Amy is an asset to the cafe and the business is run by his minds. Ratings updated as deserved 🙂 This is a good cafe in beautiful mellows park in Wallington. They have both outdoor and indoor seating though the ample outdoor space will be very welcome in summer! There are play areas to keep the little ones occupied and the dogs can run around as well. The food is a hit and miss here unfortunately. If you visit during non busy hours, you are sure to get good quality food but if you are the unlucky few like me who visited on a hot Sunday late morning for brunch, you are bound to be disappointed. They must have run out of breakfast items and/or patience for me to get a very sorry looking vegetarian breakfast with burnt toast, leftover scraps of mushroom bits and small bits of tomato. The coffee mug seemed smaller than usual. The vegetarian sausage and hash browns were delicious as always and I left the cafe a bit disappointed in this instance. If you want breakfast here, be...
Read moreMellows Pavilion Cafe in Wallington is a wonderful spot for a peaceful and enjoyable break. The cafe’s spacious and airy environment is particularly ideal for families with children. There are fun activities like a play area which allow parents to relax while their kids have a great time. The food on the menu is fresh and delicious. I especially loved the homemade cakes and sandwiches. Their coffee is of high quality with a variety of options to choose from. They also offer great alternatives for lunch. Additionally, the ice cream selection is extensive and caters to all tastes. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The service is excellent, and they prioritize customer satisfaction. Another big plus is that the cafe is dog-friendly, so you can bring your pets along. However, the cafe can get a bit crowded during peak hours. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, it’s best to visit early. Some user reviews have mentioned negative experiences in the play area, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your children.
My opinion on this issue is; the second door next to the cafe. Customers generally use this door to exit. If you are not careful with children, they can go out through this door.
Overall, Mellows Pavilion Cafe is a fantastic choice for those looking to spend time in a pleasant and relaxed setting. It’s suitable for both children and adults, offering tasty food and high-quality service. I will definitely...

Even my autistic son was like mummy he was rude, totally pissed me off..I always come in and I always make a purchase this is the first time I've not made a purchase and I'm made to feel some type of way.
No wonder the staff never look happy with a manager/boss who can talk to people so rudely.
I wonder if a older person would of been of treated the same..probably not..
Maybe put a notice up saying toilets are for paying customers only.
From now on I will just go to the...
