The Wembley Tavern — Restaurant in London

Normally our go to pub when going to the FA Cup Final. However on this occasion we were confronted by an overly aggressive female member of the door staff who became angry when she clumsily explained that the pub was closed and we weren’t sure what she meant. She started shouting and at one point we thought she was going to turn violent.

Your response is missing the point entirely. Deliberately so no doubt. We were not turned away from other pubs. We had just left The Stadium Bar unaware of the closing rule (Where the security staff were very friendly) The feedback is about the manner in which the female member of your security team behaved. I came here for pre-drinks before the FA Cup final between both Manchester clubs. This was an allocated Manchester United fans pub. The atmosphere was lively, friendly and energetic in parts.

The service was absolutely spot on - so well looked after by Dennis and the wider team, to ensure the fans enjoyed themselves (sensibly). The tavern is clean and comfortable, with a range of Wembley decor. There is a courtyard area too which helps smokers. The place had security which ensured everyone behaved and nothing got out of hand.

This place used to be good but we were there last weekend and found they open much later than the posted opening time and close much earlier that the posted closing time. We went after an american football game on Sunday. The place was packed but a very pushy and unfriendly manager kicked everyone out at 9:30pm.
