I love love love animals. 4 years ago I chose to eat a plant based diet after 4 years of vegetarianism (the transition was easy as I only had to avoid diary. This became very tricky when I moved to Spain and opted for a vegetarian diet. I’ve come back to the UK for 7 months in April and continued with vegetarian options. Today I ordered a Toastie (cheese, tomato and onion) and chips but I received a toastie with chicken but to my horror my toastie had chicken in it (tbh I’ve forgotten what chicken tastes like). The staff were very apologetic and we didn’t pay for our meal but it doesn’t take away the feeling of eating meat after 8 years of abstinence. The reason for writing the review is if you are vegetarian/vegan please check the food before you start to eat. I'm sure it's a one off. Despite my experience they do serve the best vegetarian breakfast in Wembley Park (that I’ve tasted). They do serve vegan wine (I’ve check it out - it’s the pinot grigio). My score is based on my latest experience - sorry. Had I left feedback after my breakfast it would have been 5's...
Read moreWent here as it was a short walk from Wembley Park Station. Has decent reviews, thought I’d give it shot. We sat down, and then we’re forgotten about until we made awkward eye contact with one of the bartenders who came over and admitted she had forgotten about us. No worries it happens. I ordered the ribeye, my friend got fish and chips. My steak was beyond saving. I had to saw through it with my knife it was so tough. A ribeye should never be tough. You can see how dry it is in the picture. Tried the other pieces and no better. No one came back after dropping off the food, they stayed behind the bar the rest of the time. I ate the seasoned potatoes which were good and part of the mixed salad that wasn’t drowned in whatever dressing that was on it. When we checked out (have to walk up to the bar), no one bothered to ask how anything was. They asked what we had, passed the card reader over the counter while they continued their side conversation and that was it. very disappointed. Definitely not...
Read moreSuper busy bar on a Wembley match night. Staff were friendly and helpful, good beer and atmosphere. Post match huge queue to enter but went down quickly. Bar was rammed, difficult to get served. Atmosphere was good but my night was spoilt by two customers trying to bully my mum and myself. My mum loves her football, she's 78.It had been a long day but these women were telling me she was tired, speaking for my mum and treating her like a child. They kept telling me I needed to get her home repeatedly, even harassing me in the toilet queue. We had come 100 miles so of course it was a long day but we was with friends. I didn't appreciate the bullying, neither did my mum and it tarnished a great night with friends we rarely see. Why can't others just keep their noses out. I was annoyed and upset and spoilt my evening and my...
