I was so disappointed with this place. Came on Sunday afternoon with my wife and son, and it was packed with locals, so expected it to be good. When we arrived one waiter told us they were fully booked when we clearly saw some tables free. We stepped outside and approached another waiter who sat us at a table next to the door (my chair was used to prop the door open so I couldn't sit properly but I persisted), he said he would be back shortly to clean it for us. After 5 minutes I had to go and remind him.
Eventually, our menus came. We waited some more time and he came to take our order. There were no drinks on the menu so we asked the waiter what soft drinks they had for my 6 year old. He told me just juices or 7up and coke. I asked if they had any 'Postobon' to which he replied no but later when I went to the toilet I saw that they did have some in the fridge.
On the subject of the toilet, the cubicle door had no lock (I walked in on someone), the flush was broken and there was no soap to wash your hands.
After waiting what seemed like an hour waiting for our food it arrived. I ordered the frijoles which was OK but my wife had ordered the sirloin steak. When she ordered it she asked for it to be cooked medium but when it arrived it was over well done. It was chewy and flavourless and I have a suspicion it was not sirloin. No sooner had the plate been put down but another waitress arrived and asked how was the food, we hadn't even started eating and I told her this. She could have clearly seen that also. In the end my wife could not even eat a few mouthfuls as it was so chewy to be inedible. In addition to this they got our order wrong, it came with chips which we hadn't ordered.
Throughout the whole time we were sitting there no one else came to check on us, I had to go up to the counter to request anything else. Still, when I went up no one paid any attention to me.
We decided in the end to leave and went to complain to the waitress who had asked us how was the food earlier (I assume she was the head waitress) who proceeded to tell me how to order steak next time (really condescending) but that the chef would replace it to which I replied that we had no time to eat and could she take it off my bill. To her credit she did this though.
I wish I had noticed at the time I paid that service charge was included and I would have refused to pay that, we had no service at all.
Overall a really disappointing experience. Shame really because I have been there before and not...
Read moreOMG where do I start… Food: Every time they keep reducing the size of the meats, but they charge you full price. The empanadas were so greasy (like they were deeped in cold oil)and they should change the name of the empanadas to Potato empanadas because they have just 1% meat and 99% potato, no flavour at all
Service: The should all learn some Customer Service skills, the waitress are so rude, rolling they eyes and confronting the customers very laudly when asking to remove the service charge which but away the charge IS OPTIONAL. I have the horrible and humiliated experience of having the Chef coming at me and aggressively grabbing me by the shoulder and telling me that he is going to take me to the kitchen to show me how hard is to make aji just because I enquired about the extra charge for the aji even though we order over 12 meals plus empanadas, they charged me extra for the aji and told me that only 2 ajis are included per table.
Atmosphere: The place looks nice, but the best sits are always reserved, even after staying there for a couple of hours and no one show up they always place us on the worse tables close to the door The music is to loud which doesn’t allow you to talk with your...
