I recently visited Down lane Park in Tottenham, hoping to spend a peaceful afternoon surrounded by nature. However, my experience was marred by the unfortunate state of the park. It was disheartening to witness the amount of rubbish scattered all around and the lack of maintenance.

The first thing that caught my attention was the sheer amount of rubbish that was left unattended. It seemed as though people had no regard for the beauty of the park and instead chose to discard their waste wherever they pleased. This not only created an unsightly view but also attracted pests and rodents, making it an unpleasant environment for everyone.

Additionally, I noticed that a significant amount of rubbish was being left by individuals of Eastern European descent. It is important to note that this is not a critique of any specific ethnic group, but rather an observation of a specific behavior that was prevalent during my visit. The lack of consideration for the park and the environment was disappointing to witness.

Furthermore, I observed individuals eating sunflower seeds on the park benches and leaving behind a mess of discarded shells. While snacking in the park is not inherently wrong, it is essential to clean up after oneself to maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the park. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit.

It is truly unfortunate that such a beautiful place like Down Lane Park has been tarnished by the irresponsibility of some visitors. The lack of proper care and respect for the environment not only affects the aesthetic appeal of the park but also hampers the overall experience for those who genuinely appreciate its natural beauty.

I hope that the authorities take notice of the current state of Down Lane Park and take necessary steps to address the issue. It is crucial to implement regular maintenance and educate visitors about the importance of cleanliness and environmental preservation. Only through collective efforts can we restore the park to its former glory and ensure that it remains a haven for nature...

This used to be a safe park but is sometimes a threat to children and youth and teenagers too. Gang culture and weird-looking men luring at women jogging are quite normal . Be sure to wear clothes less revealing. There is plenty space to jog and to excercise . There are also outdoor excersice facilities available. The childrens play park is enjoyable for over 8's and a section for under 5's . If u are looking to picnic there is a green space near the entrance of park . If u are feeling peckish just visit Fairy Island located near Tottenham bus station where you can find KFC and Pizza Hut. Harris Academy is the Secondary school which is literally next to the park . It is an excellent school with outstanding Ofsted reviews . Your children will be guaranteed a nice education. Overall it...

I took my little dog for a walk around, she loved it, as i let her off the lead for the first time, as she is only young and still learning. We stopped off at the cafe. I had a cuppa tea an a ham an chesse roll ( as they didnt have bacon) it was very tasty and soft n fresh. There were a few people around doing things. We managed to miss the rain. All in all we both had a lovely little walk. It is a dog friendly place, as long as you keep your dog under control. It is a large park, plenty of space to play games. Cafe, play ground for the little ones, tennis courts, basketball courts and an outdoor workout area. Will deffinately be going there agian very soon. There will be a lot of landscaping work being done from 15th january 2024, so please be carefull...

It is a small park but with lots of the possibilities for activities. I saw a couple walking around the park, a man running, people walking and playing with their dogs, people exercising on their own… oh and there is an outside gym with instructions (… as you can see in one of my pictures. I like it. I am planning to use it (… it will be fun 🤩.) There are opportunity to playing tennis, football, basketball too. … and their playground is amazing (… I am not sure my pictures can show it to you, but I am sure you definitely have to try it, even if you think you are an adult.) Oh… and do you like 🍒 . Yes…🤔 Just come and enjoy the taste of it 😉 … but it needs more 🗑 and a few benches under the shadow 🤔. It was nice to sitting on my scarf in the grass.

Local park adding some much needed greenery to an area bordered by the busy roads of Tottenham Hale. Major developments in the local area have made cash available for significant upgrades including what must rank as the best kids playground in Tottenham. Works are still in progress but it's turning into a really nice space.

Haringey Council has poured a lot of funding into this park. Planted trees, a children’s playground, walking paths, an outdoor exercise area, benches, picnic tables and the occasional community fair all contribute to a relaxed and inviting experience. Great for dog walking, too!
