Don't be deviated by the ignoramuses that have just happened to throw their vain opinions on such a wonderful place that is Milanos. These people don't know the first thing they are talking about. I have been visiting the place since its conception (since I began studying at Greenwich tbh..) and I will tell you everything one would need to know about this place.
Let me enlighten everyone on the subject of their food, hygiene, and service.
The service is pretty rubbish. They are slow to take one's order, slow to prepare one's order, and generally lazy about providing any kind of respectable customer service (unless you're a regular such as myself - in which case, you're treated like the Queen). I've become accustomed to boxing and bagging my own food which is something I expect to be done for me, but alas that is forgiven due to their friendly attitude amidst all the negative workflow.
Their hygiene is pretty standard, nothing much to say here.
The food. Now this is where my post carries most of it's weight (oh the irony). Rare is such a place that has such tender, succulent and delightful food as Milanos. Their chicken is not only fried, but it's greasy. It gives you the same burst of energy as having a brown banana, and the sizes would be enough to have Americans running for their dollar dollar bills ya'll. They may be very damaging to your health, and perhaps cause high cholesterol if over-visited - but as long as it is enjoyed in moderation, I'd say this is one of the best places to go to if you're looking for a quick and tasty meal. And to be honest, this is the reason why Milanos is so close to my heart, and the reason why I need a new one..
Basically, they're just a cheap version of KFC without all the huplah.. and way...
Read moreBeing a vegetarian, I have tried a couple of veggie pizza options, chips, the burger and few other items (limited options anyway). The review below is from experience over last few visits spread out across last year or so. So, it's NOT a one time hate or love experience based review (if that helps).
Food quality: The pizza is definitely different to the normal Domino's or Huts or Papa's of this world. It has a distinctive 'fried' feel to the crust. Does taste good, but it's not for everyday eating anyway. Do try the pepper one, I would suggest. Burger was disappointing. Had a raw feel to it, completely opposite to the pizza.
Ambience: Very modest, okay'ish clean, 3-4 tables, upfront counter (walk in and their eyes will follow you till you come forward 4 steps and say something :). Quite confusing menus (overcrowded with list of stuff that ultimately may all be the same once in a plate or box). Best is to take away or order online for delivery. However for the real 'just cooked' flavour, just ignore the ambience and enjoy the crusty pizza there itself if you have some time.
Value for money: About 40-60% cheaper than bigger pizza 'brands'. ££ What you end up paying is one thing where you can be a bit smart and pick one of their collection deals, drag your heels a bit or splash out a few extra bucks for delivery but be prepared for longggggg waits.
Worth a mention: -They boast of a special Really Large pizza. It is true. Try it once for fun. Can feed 3 people easily. -Try to come in store to collect if you are after some...

Revised below
Food again was on point as always, but I have never experienced this level of service in any restaurant. Absolutely absurd. I asked the guy behind the counter to change my order (I could see that he hadn't started anything yet) he got pissed off with me and ignored me, whatever it's ok (not good service but fine), we paid then found they overcharged us as they have a buy 1 get 1 free deal on all pizzas as shown in the pictures below, when we brought it to the guys attention the guy got annoyed and stated that this has not been the case since 3 or 4 years so I stated that is this was the case for over 3 years they should either honour the advert or take the sign down. He got angry and shouted at me "YOU TAKE IT DOWN, YOU TAKE IT DOWN!!!" I then responded "sure how much will you pay me to remove the sign" which enraged him to call me an idiot, repeatedly threatening to call the police and telling us to get out.
Tbh I knew the service here wasn't good, but reading the reviews, I thought people were overdoing it and being dramatic so I continued to advocate for this establishment, but no more. What I experienced today was so bizarre and very much in line with most of the reviews here. Good food but not worth the customer treatment, if you want food from here order it online and expect to be missing a drink or a dip (we were initially missing dips for the pizzas) and don't complain as the customer service will shock you in a perpetual loop...
