DO NOT STAY HERE!!

I have been trying to contact this hotel since May, and I have still yet to receive my promised refund.

I stayed here for 3 nights. A couple days before I was due to stay here, I had already contacted the hotel about requesting a room away from the lift, as I'd be doing some studying during my stay - I never received a response about this, and when I checked in, the receptionist said he couldn't help me allocate a room closer to the lift, and it seemed like he wasn't taking my request seriously.

I checked into my initial room, which was fine - 2 rooms away from the lift. I opened the duvet covers, and found a medium-sized stain on the bedsheets - likely on the middle layer of sheet or mattress topper. I felt extremely put off after that, because this is a health and safety concern, and I wouldn't expect this poor level of hygiene to be carried out.

I called the receptionist to let them know about this, and the receptionist said that if I hadn't used anything in the hotel room that I could be moved to a different room. I should have been able to move rooms even if I had used the amenities, as I believe the hygiene of the hotel should be first priority. I was moved to a room further away from the lift, so I'm not sure why my request couldn't be accommodated the first time.

The new room I was transferred to was fine, however there were dirt marks on the bath mat, which I hadn’t even used yet, the ironing board was stained, the mirror had multiple stains, and the hangers had finger marks on them. I genuinely did not feel comfortable staying in this hotel because I felt like I had to constantly check and make sure things were clean and safe to touch/use.

Furthermore, the curtains had some brown stains on them, presumably coffee and the hairdryer had hair that wasn’t mine stuck in the fan.

I understand that sometimes turnaround times for hotel rooms are fast, and I’m not expecting the room to be in an immaculate condition. However, I believe there are basic hygiene standards that need to be followed, and I don’t think these requirements were met.

Overall, I was disappointed and felt extremely uncomfortable due to the lack of cleanliness during my stay here, and I hope you take these comments in order to improve future customers’ experiences, as I wouldn’t want them to feel the same as I did.

I received a reply from Oshan, and I was promised a 25% refund, yet I still have not received this...I contacted the hotel via Expedia, and now they are denying to offer me this...

We chose this hotel as it is within walking distance of the O2.

I am a Radisson regular and a rewards member and used some earned points to reduce the cost. Unusually, I was not welcomed or recognised as a member. And indeed was asked at check in whether I had paid or not at time of booking! Surely the hotel system knows this?!

The approach to and surroundings of the hotel (we arrived on foot from Greenwich North tube station) was un-nerving and unsettling. There was lots of car movement, people in and around the hotel that did not appear to be directly connected with the hotel. Also discarded nitrous oxide canisters etc. The movement and activity carried on late into the night and the early hours.

Whilst we felt totally safe in the room we did not feel totally safe on the approach and immediate surroundings.

There is also currently (as of June 2024) a lot of construction activity around and right next to the hotel. Work on the construction site directly opposite the hotel started very early and noisily on the Monday morning (before 8am).

Room was fine. A “double” was two twin beds next to each other with a double sheet over the two mattresses so not that comfortable at the join. When room cleaned the only thing noticeably done was the bed being made. No refill of coffee etc, no clean mugs/glasses, no refill of toilet roll etc.

On check out, a member of staff (we assume!) was sat in informal seating for residents in the lobby area and without getting up asked if we were checking out, asked our room number and did something on her phone and said “all done”. That was the extent of the check out process. Maybe we are old but that was un-nerving for us and we left not at all convinced that we had even interacted with a member of staff.

Whilst the hotel is within walking distance of the O2 (don’t follow Google Maps suggested walking route as of June 2024 as it sends uyou on a long unnecessary loop ignoring a new footbridge) it is not the most pleasant or safe feeling walk as you get nearer to the hotel. The route requires you to pass some rather off putting venues e.g. huge Ibiza style “mega nightclub”.

Overall, we were very disappointed. If it were not for the closeness of the O2 we would not even consider staying here again. Sorry Radisson, but it was not a good...

What a shambles! The only good thing this hotel has going for it is the fact it is only a 20 min walk from the 02.

We did arrive early and asked if we could store our luggage until we could check in, they could not offer us a safe location to store our bags and had to leave these in reception.

Once checked in and going to our room, the corridors did have cages of laundry and linen as well as dirty pots on the windowsills. We thought maybe they were still cleaning and this would be removed in due course. (These were never removed and remained in the corridor all night, one cage was even blocking a fire door) We also passed a room that looked like something from a crime scene with bin bags taped over the door. (Considering the hotel was only re-opened a few weeks ago I was very shocked to see this). Upon entering our room, the room was pleasant and appeared clean, however the bathroom smelt like a sewer and the shower had limescale covering the shower tray. The room overlooked the busy motorway and the widows were not adequate in blocking the sound out.

Before heading to the 02 we thought we’d make use of the rooftop bar, we went up around 5pm to be told it does not open until 6pm. So at 6pm we went up again to then be told we needed a reservation!

So we attempted to get a drink in the downstairs bar in reception, I’m currently pregnant and would have loved a mocktail or even just alcohol free cider, the choices were non existent for alcohol free options and I had a choice of J20, coke, orange juice or water!

Along came breakfast, and disappointment is an understatement. The breakfast lacked choice and what was available was not good quality or did not taste nice. The coffee machine leaked all over the floor when trying to get a hot drink so had to get a tea when back in the room.

The staff were very unprofessional, often having headphones in while working or on their phones and would avoid communicating with you by walking straight past you with their heads down.

Overall very disappointed in the level of service being provided at this hotel and would not...
