I should like to know how it is possible to order food at the Brixton Hill outlet, well within its opening hours, when the staff take the order, and the money that goes with it, and ‘unexpectedly’ find themselves not only unable to supply the goods but also to supply the drink that is part of the deal. On Wednesday the 8th of March, I ordered two chicken fillet burger meals, which I waited for for the best part of ten minutes for, with no further communication from the rather unconcerned-looking staff, only to be told that the fillets were no longer available, even though the payment had already been taken (by card). The alternative that was offered was fried chicken on the bone, which I do not eat, or a hash brown burger, which is not quite the same nutritional OR financial value as chicken. Are 'hash brown burgers' even part of the menu? Was it made up on the spot, in what the staff deemed a suitable substitute for a paid meal that they blatantly knew they weren't in a position to deliver? I find the lack of customer care utterly appalling, as I do the flippant way with which a cash refund of only one meal out of the two was made. I should like to claim the second ‘chicken fillet burger’ meal that was accepted, but not consumed, due to its being fried chicken on the bone, as a compensation for the ludicrous waste of time, money and resources that were....Here's hoping: with a contact webpage that won't send messages and a twitter account more concerned with reposting from Love Island trash bags than responding to paying customers, it's...
Read moreThey are one of the best of their franchise, mostly because they seem to get a lot of foot traffic, so food was fresh and well cooked. Be prepared for a long wait as it's a great early morning treat after a night out and was packed as it closed at 3am. Handy to know there's a chicken shop open until this time if I ever fancied it.
At that time, you'll find drunks, etc, so you take what you get and park in side road at that time but could be difficult in daytime hours with parking restrictions.
Not much of a dining space, about 8 to 10 people. They have deals from about £4.00.
There is a single step to access, but I'm sure it's easy enough to get someone to come to take your order if needed. They do all 3 in terms of dine in, if space available, be prepared to share, takeaway, and delivery. Only salad and fries for vegetarian options, but check as I'm not a frequent user of these establishments. I...
Read moreI would not recommend. Got the 4 chicken wings, fries and a drink combo and an apple pie for £5.
Took about 10 minutes to be served my food. The chicken was relatively good, moist on the inside with a nice crust. The fries were pathetic, shoe string fries similar to Mcdonald's with no flavor and no crunch. They don't give you any sauce but there are squirt bottles out on the tables inside. The chili sauce was delicious, the burger sauce not my style.
I went to this restaurant and this specific location because I was told this is the best chicken shop in London... I really hope it isn't because this is some of the most mid chicken I have ever had.
I won't be...
