Unlike the pictures sugest it's a tiny restaurant wich is okay depending on the size of your group. The furniture is a old but if you don't have high expectations it's okay. The food is okay. Nothing special but I would say from average to good. The main problem we encountered is the amount of food. I got the butter chicken menu. I am a cook myself and I can confirm that it was 5 chunks of chicken ia total of 70 grams in a bowl with some sauce. So that was the menu. There is no rice or anything included. So the chicken costs 13,50 but since you can't eat it without rice you will order rice and the will charge you another 3,50 pound for that. If you ad the rice to the sauce and the chicken it's not enough to fill half the plate. You can judge for yourself by the picture. Its unbelievablebut thats the combined portions of the rice, sauce and chikken before we started to eat. So the food in the plate as seen on the picture is 17 pounds. We are no big eaters at all. But we found ourselves going to the McDonald's to eat right after. To be honest we are still surprised by the amount we got served. Its a bit extreme and not okay. 3 half plates for 70 pound. We don't...

I have come back to update my previous review, which I have now deleted as Google does not allow more than one review per account.

I came to this place a first time, asked for curry the spiciest that they could make it, and they did not deliver. A five year old could have eaten my dish. I thought that they had misunderstood me, so I came back.

I specified very clearly that I wanted very spicy curry; I ordered the Kori Gassi. Again, disappointing. There's either one of two things happening here: They're making an arbitrary judgement as to whether or not they think you can handle spice and then intentionally toning it down; or They do not stock the chilies required to make a dish authentically spicy.

If you're looking for good and spicy Indian food, I'll have to recommend The Coriander from now on, about a 10 minute walk from this restaurant. They will actually listen to you there and make your food appropriately spicy.

Nice place and friendly staff, just lacking in...

My recent visit to Mumbai Delight, an outstanding Indian restaurant in South Lambeth, London, left me with an incredible culinary experience that I won't soon forget. From start to finish, this restaurant captured the essence of Indian cuisine, delivering outstanding flavors and a delightful dining atmosphere.

The attentive service at Mumbai Delight by our always smiling waiter, Srinivas, added to the overall experience. He was happy to make suggestions to my teenage daughter that were spot on and not too hot for her.

Mumbai Delight stands out not only for its exceptional food but also for its commitment to authenticity and genuine hospitality. The passion and dedication of the staff shine through in every aspect, making it a must-visit Indian restaurant in London. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Indian cuisine or new to its flavors, Mumbai Delight promises a delightful journey through the diverse and rich tapestry of Indian...

Came here for an evening meal with my partner. Staff were super friendly and welcoming from the start, and this continued as they got busier. The menu was reasonably priced at first glance. Once we started eating however we realised we were getting a bargain. The food was such high quality and all tasted so fresh and flavoursome. I recommend their butter chicken and house curry, but they all looked, sounded and smelt as good as you’d want. Drinks are standard price but they’ve got your classics and poured fresh instead of bottled, which is always welcome. The interior has some cool and interesting art, including some that seemed to pay homage to the owners heritage. I would honestly go here for all my future curry nights if I weren’t moving out the area. Glad I got to experience it even if it was a bitter sweet late opportunity. 100% recommend!

It has a really nice environment that’s elegant. It honestly fits their focus on the quality of the food, which you can learn more about in this mission stammer (plus for that) on freshness and quality of food. We got two dishes, and both were great. You can really taste the individual spices so well! The Lamb Angara, is a must have. The slow cooking really makes it. With a spice hotness rating of 2/3 I didn’t really find it spicy, though I am used to chilies, so... The Kolhapuri Murgi was a good amount of spice with a 3/3 rating for hotness - just enough to sweat a little. I really loved the coconut and ginger flavor! I’d definitely come back!
