Unlike the pictures sugest it's a tiny restaurant wich is okay depending on the size of your group. The furniture is a old but if you don't have high expectations it's okay. The food is okay. Nothing special but I would say from average to good. The main problem we encountered is the amount of food. I got the butter chicken menu. I am a cook myself and I can confirm that it was 5 chunks of chicken ia total of 70 grams in a bowl with some sauce. So that was the menu. There is no rice or anything included. So the chicken costs 13,50 but since you can't eat it without rice you will order rice and the will charge you another 3,50 pound for that. If you ad the rice to the sauce and the chicken it's not enough to fill half the plate. You can judge for yourself by the picture. Its unbelievablebut thats the combined portions of the rice, sauce and chikken before we started to eat. So the food in the plate as seen on the picture is 17 pounds. We are no big eaters at all. But we found ourselves going to the McDonald's to eat right after. To be honest we are still surprised by the amount we got served. Its a bit extreme and not okay. 3 half plates for 70 pound. We don't...
Read moreI have come back to update my previous review, which I have now deleted as Google does not allow more than one review per account.
I came to this place a first time, asked for curry the spiciest that they could make it, and they did not deliver. A five year old could have eaten my dish. I thought that they had misunderstood me, so I came back.
I specified very clearly that I wanted very spicy curry; I ordered the Kori Gassi. Again, disappointing. There's either one of two things happening here: They're making an arbitrary judgement as to whether or not they think you can handle spice and then intentionally toning it down; or They do not stock the chilies required to make a dish authentically spicy.
If you're looking for good and spicy Indian food, I'll have to recommend The Coriander from now on, about a 10 minute walk from this restaurant. They will actually listen to you there and make your food appropriately spicy.
Nice place and friendly staff, just lacking in...
