Misleading and Tasteless Experience at this meatless burger place
I recently visited this burger joint and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. As a meat lover, I was excited to indulge in a regular burger, but to my dismay, I received a vegan burger instead. This unexpected switch was not only disappointing but also left me feeling cheated due to the lack of clear indications about the vegan options on the menu.
First and foremost, the absence of any explicit mention of the vegan nature of the burger options on the menu was a significant letdown. As a customer, I believe it's essential for a restaurant to provide accurate and transparent information about its dishes. I specifically ordered a regular burger, assuming it would contain meat, only to be served a vegan alternative. This misleading practice is unacceptable and deceptive, as it manipulates customers' expectations.
Moreover, the lack of taste in the vegan burger was quite disheartening. While I understand that taste preferences can differ, the burger I received failed to deliver a satisfying culinary experience. It lacked the robust flavors and textures that one would expect from a well-crafted burger. The absence of meat, combined with the overall blandness of the patty, left much to be desired.
Adding insult to injury, I couldn't help but notice the intentional wordplay in the restaurant's name, "Neat," which is cleverly written to resemble "meat." This choice seemed deliberately misleading, as it could easily mislead customers, like myself, into assuming that the establishment primarily offers meat-based dishes. Such tactics undermine the trust that customers place in a restaurant and tarnish the overall...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDifferent kind of review for a change first time going to a Actuall vegan burger place, Iāve eaten vegan food before however this was defiantly going out of my comfort zone. Visited @neatburger Neat Burger is the first of itās kind! Ethical, sustainable and delicious, they are fully plant based. They have a number of branches around London, i visited the London Victoria Branch š 36 Buckingham Palace road, London, SW1W 0RE⦠3 minute walk from London Victoria station.
I ordered the āSmash Burgerā which had a Double Neat Meat Patty, Smashed W Onions, Cheese, Neat Sauce, Mustard, Big Stack Sauce. (Ā£9.99) normal fries Ā£2.00.. and a weird cola drink ( they had no normal drinks would not recommend the cola drink at all ) the burger surprised me with the flavours I would rate it a 9/10 only reason not a 10 the cheese had a slight After taste, other than that the burger was really nice even the fries I thought might have a weird taste however tasted so good.
I would defo be back, even preferred this to eating halal shake shack. Also it is pretty pricey for just a burger and chips however good to try new things and maybe get once in a while if your after something different š¤š½
I used to like this chain, but my recent experience was quite disappointing. I went to the Victoria branch and I thought it was completely lacklustre. The atmosphere is non-existent and there were very few people sitting in. The burgers, which were a welcomed novelty a couple of years ago, look now really sad and more than anything, super small. We had a cheeseburger and a smashed burger with fries and quite terrible soft drinks. The drinks, I sort of understand as I guess not good to sell normal Coke as it may be against your ethos. The fries were ok. Burgers though... small, tasteless and cold. This is your USP and terrible doesn't even begin to describe it.
We paid nearly £30 and didn't even get ketchup. Had to pay extra for sauces, which in this day and age I find really lame. But in all honesty I wouldn't have bothered to review, if I didn't have to get home and cook some dinner as I left the place really hungry. So in summary I feel this went from being a hip, novelty idea place to a tasteless, cold and really small burger joint, served in a place with no atmosphere. Can't see these guys...
