My wife and I had returned from The Royal Festival Hall to Hayes, around 22:30pm and our wee tummies were sending us signals that they were empty and needed something placed in them or there would be a revolution of kinds.
Eek! We both thought. We had better do something about this but it was late and surely all restaurants would be closed now.
And indeed they were. We were walking past Mumbai Madness and glanced in. Sure enough, it was empty and some of the staff were clearing up.
AH well we thought, Sainsburys sandwiches it would be but hold on... one of the owners, a very nice chap by the name of Venky, beckoned us in. My wife smiled and we walked in, asking if they were sure, as we didn't want to keep them from going home.
"Don't be silly," stated Venky, "It's Valentines day, please come in."
So, we did. We took a glance at the menu but I asked Venky and the equally wonderful Raj if they could just surprise us with dishes that they feel we would like.

When we asked why we were offered a seperate menu, they said that they have changed the deal and the poppadoms are now a course and pudding is no longer included. I was unhappy as their website, which i brang up to show them, still states that pudding is included. The staff were pretty rude, a manager wasnt available and we were left unhappy at the end of a fairly good meal.
A few shops up is another indian resturant (ginger) which was very busy, which has the same deal including pudding. Which, I guess is why that was so busy and we were the only table in this place.
I will not be visiting again, in fact i will now use Ginger, the shop just...
