Visited this place craving for scrumptious Asian food roaming in the streets of Mayfair! To begin with, the ambience of the place is quite cute and cozy. The staff was very attentive too with the order plus in explaining us the dishes and suggesting us with what to go for. Personally, my experience here was quite different from other places as the food here looks like specially crafted food. From the appetisers to the main course, they had a unique way of making it and presenting it. And we loved everything!!!
Things we ordered!
Sex on the beach cocktail was refreshing. The alcohol content was spot on and paired well with the exciting dishes we ate here:
Tofu Skewers- this is nothing like the everyday skewers we have seen or heard of, these are sheets made out of Tofu and stuck on a stick with the gravy part being medium spicy and has a good aroma of garlic. Trust me, you will love this.
Grilled Veg Gyoza- stuffed with vegetables and served with sauce, it was very flavourful.
Rice glass noodles mixed vegetables in broth - this comes in a huge bowl with a good quantity of rice glass noodles and vegetables. The sauce is so tasty that it completely adds flavour to the whole dish. This is a must try!
Biang Biang noodles- lucky we got to try their limited edition Pride Biang Biang noodles. Now again, these noodles were hand crafted with the pride colours. It looked very colourful and tasted out of the world. The chili oil made it perfectly spicy and the aroma of the sauce was yumm. This is my personal favourite from the menu and you would not want to miss it for the world!
Icecream- last but not the least, the strawberry ice cream. Itās a cute soldier like standing figure in strawberry flavour. This too is a must try. Havenāt seen anything like this. Check out the photo...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMurger Han is one of my favourite restaurants in London and easily the best noodle restaurant I've been to in London. I love the food here so much that during eat out to help out I came here 3 meals in a row.
The biangbiangmein 3 in 1 with braised pork is nothing short of divine, paired with their pork murger (which you should drown in their chilli oil), and perhaps their lychee cocktail.
I personally find that their spice level can be a bit inconsistent as I have often ordered the spiciest and not felt much heat and other times felt it for days.
My only real complaint about this place is that they recently replaced their menus and the design is so much worse and harder to read. And, the real big thing which is why I've given the atmosphere a big fat 1 star is that they have these ridiculous emoji pillows which absolutely ruin the beautifully designed decor.
I heard somewhere that it was a trend in China for some reason. But my goodness do they ruin a beautiful restaurant, bin them please. I'm sure the interior designers cry everytime they see them. No matter the reason, they really shouldn't be there and are nothing short of tacky and tasteless.
On top of that the music choice for the restaurant is... Questionable. Typically pop music, I would expect something perhaps a bit more Xi'an China to go with the vibe of the food.
In summary, the food is some of the best you'll ever have with flavours you can't really find anywhere else; but they cloud the entire experience with these garish and out of place emoji pillows. I'd probably come here more if they got...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTucked away in a posh London neighborhood, Murger Han offers a surprising taste of Xi'an, the capital of China's Shaanxi Province. Intrigued by their claim to be London's "first authentic Xi'an restaurant," I ventured in for a breakfast that was anything but ordinary.
The restaurant itself has a casual vibe and the friendly staff and compact, moody dining room create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Upon perusal of the breakfast menu I couldn't decide on a specific dish to have, so I opted for a traditional Xi'an tasting breakfast.
This multi-course experience was a delightful exploration of flavours and textures. Each bite was a revelation, showcasing the unique cuisine of Xi'an. This included a plethora of small dishes which includes mullet congee, fried dough sticks, dumplings, tea egg, and pickled vegetables.
The breakfast was a delicious journey through Xi'an's culinary landscape. The portions were perfect for a satisfying yet not overwhelming start to the day. Murger Han's focus on authenticity and quality ingredients makes it a hidden gem for those seeking an adventurous breakfast experience.
If you're looking for a break from the usual full English breakfast and want to explore the flavours of Xi'an, Murger Han is worth a visit. Just be prepared to be surprised by what a London breakfast...
