Nando's Dalston — Restaurant in London

Although the staff had lovely mannerism wise, there were two ladies and one man dealing with the Deliveroo drivers. Although slightly disorganised with the disruptiveness of two ladies with children that continued though out to take bottomless drinks with water glasses with getting the children to get them. Which continued back and forth. This was noticed after the longest while after seeing the manger or supervisor leave that I have seen for some years. This was around 4pm. Three members of staff then started to clear one table of four just after the take away area toward the left. With the lady continuing to send her toddler back and forth to fill up the short glasses that are meant for water from there table with the children and then one of the adults going back and forth with the small glasses for fizzy drinks. This was at the back of the restaurant, the table in the middle before the staircase. It was chaos for children to be running by screaming at there parent ‘mummy should I get the coke’ with a small glass in front of the staff. The mother can been seen at the same time doing actually the same in which she pretend on 3 occasions. No staff approached this although they did seem to notice it as three were cleaning one table. In which this means it is ok to take as many bottomless drinks with no cost. I was not asked until I left if my meal was ok , sitting as one and I was also asked if I would like to take a one single packet of Peri salt home with me. I came here as Stoke Newington had an electric issue and we’re not open. Not a good watch of service once customers were seated. Honestly the only reason I am giving this Nandos a 5 is completely down to the staff member "Hayley" for really going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and was comfortable after a mishap with our food order.

She was very professional after I explained the problem with my food and she sorted it all out quite quickly and even with a smile - I asked to speak to a manager first because the only person I could see wearing a different uniform (suspected manager?) was a woman floating around behind the tills. I don't know why the manager seemed scared to deal with the customers but I'm happy a member of staff used her initiative to make my experience as a customer a lot more comfortable. And if someone didn't walk up to me like she did to see what the problem was I would have just walked out so a BIG THANK YOU once again to Hayley and the other lady who was serving customers that day, they were the highlight of our visit and had very approachable/friendly demeanors.

The food is what you expect from a Nandos, no better or worse. The shop was quite clean during service which was reassuring but my only issue is management seem to avoid customers when there's an issue and leave it to the staff who thankfully pick up the pieces to resolve our issue?

I'm new to the area and haven't eaten in this particular venue until recently but I would return to your branch just for the way I felt very valued/reassured by the kind nature of your staff members previously mentioned. Firstly we noticed how clean in here was. The place was spotless from head to toe.

Then the staff. They were all extremely helpful, nice and very pleasant to talk too. They all knew their jobs very well.

Our food came out less than 5mins after ordering. It came out looking and smelling great. The order was all correct, and there were no issues with it at all.

We made further orders before we left to take home for other family members and these too arrived swiftly and when checked were correct and looked and smelt amazing.

The layout could do with a bit of a rethink. People that have children, bags, crutches, etc have to walk through what seems like a maze to get through to tables. Moving maybe one set of tables in a different direction would free up some of the gangway. Other than this the restaurant is great.

We did go there when it was extremely quiet. There was only 2 parties of people in there eating. But by the time we were leaving the restaurant had picked up and was pretty much full. Whether this had any bearing on the quality of our food, the standard of the restaurant and staff, I cannot vouch for. This is what I happened to experience on our visit, so can only give a review on what was experienced. Would definitely recommend and return there...
