The worst experience yet at Nando's. Me and a group of friends planned a night consisting on a nice meal and a movie in the cinema afterwards. We arrived at the southside shopping centre at around 9pm, our movie starts at 9:50pm, we decided to eat before going cinema to kill time, plus neither one of us had eaten since lunch. We ordered our food at around 9:15pm, when it came to around 9:30 when we realised we don't even have our drinks, we only managed to get our drinks due to one of us asking for the drinks. Even though we all ordered our food around the same time we didn't receive our food at the same time which doesn't make sense and it not really fair where there are some of us hungry having to watch our friends eat so their food doesn't get cold. its now 9:50 our cinema movie has started and only tow of us has our food. An employee then approaches us saying they don't have chicken wings available despite us ordering the food 45 minutes ago. It now approaching 10pm and we are getting frustrated as we are missing the start to the movie and our friend still hasn't had his food. Another one of our friends received the wrong order, and when the waitress figured this out she grabbed to food away from my friend laughing saying sorry this isn't yours and continued to give the food to the correct customer. Now this is unacceptable, because it unhygienic, how does the employee know that my friend hasn't touched the food, also there is a pandemic going around and they're breaching the Covid measurements. At this point we are angry so we have asked for the manager, Marcia. We have asked why the service has been poor, and why our friend hasn't been given his food. Her argument was that Nando's was very busy today, as she is saying this we can see her employees sitting with other customers around the restaurant flirting with the male customers, and when we asked about why our friend hasn't received the food, she replied with the order was declined due to no payment. Our friend then continued to show his bank statement and email confirmation that payment has been made at 9:20pm. Her only response to this was that the payment was cancelled despite showing her it did. Overall the whole experience was just dreadful, and the way the manager dealt with situation was unprofessional and to be honest she didn't know what she was talking about. Waited over 40min, for a half chicken, wrap and a couple sides, after 3pm, after everyone around us was served I thought to check on our food, the manager at the time, believe it was James, searches for our food but don’t think he found it as table number asked for twice, told me my food would be ready in 2min. The chicken and sides just need sorting (you mean they haven’t made half our order?!?) No proper apology, and when I ask I rudely get offered, ‘Is it a free side you are after’ - wow, no it’s the service I paid for my food and a warm meal within the 20 min wait I was advised. Had somewhere to get to, so asked for them to pack it up as takeaway, brings the takeaway eventually after about 10 min, so a total of about an hour wait, again no real apologies, when I asked for the manager it took some time and he wasn’t even listening when I explained the situation. Not a care in the world. Worst managers ever! My original encounter was with James who I believe is a manager too, both managers couldn’t give a hoot, don’t expect to feel like a customer of value there! Get takeaways and they FORGET half day of the food. I Come on, how many times in one sitting/experience are there gonna be muck ups?!?!? Did anything go right, no, now we have cold takeaways, hopefully the right food, too frustrated to waste more time checking the second takeaway bag, in other words a total waste of time and money. Read moreI visited this Nando's after trying to get a table for weeks and weeks, when my husband asked the manager to change his red wine as it was cold, she started to argue with him. She was quite rude and trying to make out my husband was wrong in saying that his wine was cold and he wanted a new glass of wine that was not in the fridge. After a few minutes of going back and forth she relented. She is not fit to manage this place. Horrible and nasty experience.
i visited Nando's yesterday at around 2ish, my son and I walked into Nandos, no queue a young server came up to me, I asked for a table for three she then proceeded to take us to a table when another server intervened and said oh no the people outside are waiting, I looked out and saw a "white" couple browsing the menu, I then asked this server for a table for three and he said there is a waiting time of 30minutes, so my son and I went outside, I called my husband and asked him to go in and ask for a table for three my husband is white and the same server told my husband to follow him he has a table. Now come on, if this is not racist behaviour then I do not know what is! I made a remark and said a table free when I just asked and was told 30minutes, he very rudely said yes something just became free, hello I was outside you could see me standing outside and you still gave a table to my white husband and not me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! get your act together.
