Edit: the toilets have improved. 5/5
The worst toilets ever conceived. Everything else is good, love the smoking area, music is good, friendly bar staff. The toilets are horrible and I hate them.
The toilets are awful and I dread going into them. It's supposedly a gender neutral design I guess, there is a row of 10 or so cubicles to the left, and 2 urinals and 1 cubicle to the right. They are ostensibly men and women's toilets. The queue for the urinal side is always very long, and it is very loud listening to the cubicle side. They are having a party over there while I am trying to pee. The person on the door is always sticking their head in checking on you while you're trying to pee. Leave me alone, I am trying to pee! All the while making jokes about how horrible men are with all the women in the queue, and borderline humiliating men as they come in and out of the room. I just want to go in, pee, and leave. I do not want this hassle. I don't want to be bothered. Nobody does.
If you are going to do gender neutral toilets, then do that! Have all cubicles, wonderul! This is the worst of either world. No man is going to have the gaul to wait in line for the left cubicle side and be labelled a creep or whatever, so we sll end up waiting for an eternity amid all this chaos while being interrogated by the attendant. Please either do gender neutral or do two separate rooms. Stop bothering people.
A gents' bathroom is supposed to be a zen garden. It might be disgusting, but there are unwritten rules. Do not talk, do not make eye contact, do not bother other people. This awful bathroom violates every one of these founding principles. I understand I sound like a mens' rights activist here, but I'm really not like that. I'm a feminist who just wants to pee in peace.
Again, great smoking area, great music. The toilets...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNTās bar in London Fields is situated in the heart of Netil House, just moments away from the station. It is a relaxed warehouse style cafe during the day ā Morty Bobās ā and turns into a lively bar in the evening. A highlight of the NTās is its expansive terrace area with booths for smaller and larger group. The fact it overlooks the overground train tracks just adds to the āEast Londonā vibe! The interior is pretty chic with leather chairs, communal tables and potted plants.
During the week, this lovely bar in London Fields is perfect to spend some time with mates and watch the sunset. Come the weekend (when I visited!) the party starts! As early as 10pm the dance floor was buzzing with DJās playing tunes from disco and house to funk, soul and R&B until 1.30am. If you still have it in you, head on to NTās sister venue, Night Tales afterwards!
NTās cocktail list includes interesting twists with no ranging from Ā£8 to Ā£10. Make sure you check out the happy hour with 241 classic cocktails from 5-7pm each day! We had a couple of cocktails off menu which showed the versatility of the bar. Our first one had dansom with a touch of banana sour, lemon syrup, egg white and ginger beer. It had a little kick to it which was great! Second up we had a refreshing gin based cocktail with citrus tinges which was strong and powerful.
We had an awesome time at NTās bar in London Fields ā the atmosphere was lively, the bar was cool but not pretentious and the cocktails were great. It reminded me of being at rooftop bar in Lisbon...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible experience. The door staff screamed at us repeatedly for not moving fast enough when I was trying to make sure my sister, who was behind me, got in ok. When we tried to speak to the door staff they ignored us and shouted in our faces.
Then a member of staff inside the venue was touching women on the way into the loos. My sister asked not to be touched, and the member of staff said they were just doing their job and she could leave if she didnāt like it.
Awful vibes even aside from those horrible experiences. It was the most typical, basic club. There are dozens of generic clubs just like it in Shoreditch and Hackney - if thatās your thing, you should choose another one.
To top it off, the entry fee was high and the music wasnāt as advertised. It was advertised as a soul night but it was very generic. Plus the dance floor and bar area had a soaking wet floor and the...
