I recently visited Oat coffee, branch 2 located in Brick lane. It was a cozy little cafe with such lovely and welcoming staff. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed. Being a wheelchair user, I found it very easy to manoeuvre throughout the store; however, I did face challenges getting myself into the store due to a raised platform. But hey they’ve got to protect their store as this is a rainy country right 😂 The coffee I had was so lovely as was the hot chocolate. There was an array of fresh pastries and hands down the yummiest Pain au chocolat I’ve had to date. The staff, from the manager to the workers, were so friendly, assisting and had such great hospitality. One staff member was so beyond helpful and cut up the pastry for me as I have poor dexterity in my hands. This hands down was the nicest thing I’ve ever experienced. Besides the staff and drinks, the ambiance of the cafĂ© was 10/10. It was so bright and the air-conditioning running throughout the store was so calming and rejuvenating. The music playing throughout the store was also such a banger of old tunes, like I haven’t heard Kryptonite by 3 doors down since like a decade ago. As a cafĂ© fanatic, I absolutely loved my experience đŸ«¶

Great vibes and a local go to for good coffee. Not the best gluten free matcha cookie; good flavour but quite sandy in texture which isn’t great especially when it cost £9 for a coffee and a cookie (bit extortionate actually). The other bakes and some gluten free stuff I’ve tried accidentally are actually pretty good. I do think explaining that it’s gf was an attempt to excuse the texture as if that’s what I should expect for gf bakes. On top of that, I was told to maybe not cut it though it was quite thick and looked ok to cut, but should’ve come with instructions if you think you can’t split a cookie with a knife. It looked bad after cutting because it fell apart quickly. I’ve never had a gf cookie like it (after school cookie club cookies as reference are what I think of for gf cookies). I did ask to swap it which they gave. Edit: I can tell the owner can’t take constructive criticism well based on the other review responses including a similar cookie review to mine. I did ask for the swap, she didn’t take initiative to offer it. I haven’t been back since and have been choosing high grade coffee and cross town as other great local alternatives.

I came specifically for the viral 3D printed ice cream and was actually a bit disappointed. It was barely noon and there wasn't much of an option to choose from. I took it to the counter to pay. The worker just looked at me as I thought she was already ringing me up. It was kind of an awkward silent before she asked me if that was all. And i said yea then she finally rung me up. Didnt seem too friendly. It was a bit pricey for a small piece of ice scream. The taste wasn't that great either. I don't recommend going out of your way to try a 3D printed ice cream that tasted like a cheap popsicle. Thank you for your reply it was the way she was looking at me like to hurry up and leave. It took her a minute or so before even asking if that was all I wanted. I'm sorry if you took offense to my review but I was just sharing my experience. I didn't dislike my time here but it wasn't the best either.

The space is cool and relaxed and staff is nice. Unfortunately, I didn't like what I tried, I don't like giving bad reviews but the quality of the items wasn't good. I heard matcha is pretty good at this place and the owner explained they use high quality matcha from Japan. I love matcha, but I love real matcha taste, not the sugary drinks with a hint of matcha that have became popular nowadays in London that are pretty bad quality and just syrup. The owner said their flavoured matchas were good but I just wanted a regular one, and as matcha was supposed to be high quality, it was supposed to be good. You could only taste the milk. Not matcha flavour at all. Not sure if it's the quality of the matcha or the amount used but it was just like drinking straight oat milk. We also had a matcha and white chocolate cookie. You could taste the matcha a bit more, but it was mainly sugar flavour. Texture was a bit weird as well, like hard and a bit sandy as well, hard to explain, but it wasn't good either. After paying around ÂŁ17 for twi drinks and one dessert to share this was pretty disappointing. Again, I don't like to give bad reviews, and staff was really friendly, but the quality of what I had was pretty bad. Edit: After saying that you could only taste the milk and nl matcha I somehow got blamed for it for not requesting strong flavour (when I wasn't even talking about strong, just to taste the matcha as I couldn't taste it at all and my partner agreed) instead of being apologetic... Maybe other items are great and I'm glad other customers are enjoying it, and I even said I don't like giving bad reviews which can be quiclky checked in my profile. The cookie was off on flavour as well it basically just tasted like sugar...what I had didn't taste good, I'm sorry. But hey, apparently is my fault. I know I won't...
