🍛 The Best in Brick Lane – A Flavorful Gem Worth the Journey! 🚗💨

Who the heck is giving this place 5 stars? It’s really not good. We were excited to try this based on reviews, but oh dear, this was bad. First of all we were sat in the basement level, the noise level was extremely loud, huge parties of men/maybe stag dos shouting at one another mixed in with the servers shouting at one another. We also booked online & got no 20% off. The poppadoms were good, then the starter came. We decided to share the tandoori chicken - it was dry & bland, lacked flavour completely. Then it took what felt like ages to get our mains. We went for the lamb tikka masala, one royal kurma like dish, the garlic nan & pilau rice. Wow, were were completely underwhelmed. To be fair, the lamb was cooked good and the tikka masala was ok. The kurma like dish was watery & tasteless - I’ve never put salt on my curry before until now. It was up there with one of the most tasteless curries i’ve ever tried. The chicken had a rather bizarre texture - kind of squishy, not for me. The rice portion was pitiful. The garlic nan was ok I guess. We are from Glasgow & we are used to a high standard of Indian cuisine where we leave feeling extremely satisfied. This was a complete let down, I couldn’t wait to leave! This made us really appreciate how good our local Indian cuisines are back in Glasgow - hands down, a million times better than what we were served tonight. I would never eat here again! I most definitely would not recommend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ABSOLUTELY CURRY-LICIOUS! 🍛🔥💥 If you haven’t been to Aladin Curry House on Brick Lane… WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE?! 😱✨ From the moment you walk in, it’s like stepping into a Bollywood dream palace 🎬👑 — the interior design is next-level: vibrant colors, golden touches, twinkling lights, and vibes that scream “spice up your life!” 🌈🌟🎉 I felt like royalty — King of Korma, if you will 😎🍗 Now let’s talk CURRY. OH. MY. MAKHANI. 🤤🙌 Every single dish we tried was a flavor bombshell 💣 — bursting with rich spices, perfect heat, and soul-soothing depth. I’m talking Chicken Tikka that could bring a tear to your eye 🥲🔥, Lamb Bhuna that made me wanna marry it 💍🐑, and Naan so fluffy it deserves its own cloud ☁️🫓 The service? Pure naan-stop hospitality 👳🏽‍♂️💯 The staff treat you like long-lost family — warm, funny, and always ready with a curry pun or two (which I obviously appreciated) 😄💬 And the cherry on top? BYOB BABY! 🍾🍻 Yes — Bring. Your. Own. Bottle. It’s BYOBrahma in here! 🕺🏽💃🏽 Nothing like popping your favorite drink while drowning in delicious daal and dancing in your seat to the beats in the background 🥂🎶 Seriously, if Brick Lane is the curry capital of London, Aladin is the Maharaja of the lot 👑🍴 10/10 would saag again! 🌿🔥 Paneer for your thoughts? Just GO already!!

We were invited into Aladin by a friendly staff member at the door who even offered us a discount since we were a group of six. That welcoming gesture initially made us feel positive about dining there.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly. Once seated, the waiter seemed rushed and impatient. He offered us something we didn’t understand, and when we asked for clarification, he simply said, “I will bring it.” It turned out to be some sort of bread served before dinner, which we didn’t ask for—but it was still added to our bill.

When it came time to order, the waiter was clearly in a hurry. He even walked away before I could order my drink. Halfway through our meal, it became clear why: the restaurant was about to close, and the staff wanted to wrap up for the day. They brought out takeaway containers mid-meal, told us to pack up, pay, and leave—all without any warning when we were first seated.

To top it off, the discount we were promised at the door was never applied to the bill.

While I understand the staff’s desire to go home on time, this is something that should be communicated upfront. If the restaurant is nearing closing time, guests should be told honestly and offered the option of takeout instead. It would have saved everyone the stress and left a much better impression.

The lack of coordination and consideration really ruined what could have been a nice dinner. Sadly, I won’t...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aladin Indian Restaurant, and my experience was truly exceptional, thanks to our waiter, Max. From the moment we arrived, Max greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm that set the tone for a wonderful evening.

Max’s knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering insightful recommendations tailored to our preferences. His descriptions of the dishes were so vivid and enticing that we couldn't wait to try them. Throughout our meal, Max’s attentiveness was unparalleled. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring our glasses were always filled and checking in just the right amount to make sure we were enjoying everything.

What stood out most about Max was his passion for providing an outstanding dining experience. He effortlessly balanced professionalism with a friendly demeanor, making us feel like valued guests. Max’s dedication to his craft and his ability to create a welcoming atmosphere truly enhanced our dining experience.

In a world where excellent service can be hard to come by, Max sets a new standard. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with impeccable service, I highly recommend visiting Aladin Indian Restaurant and asking for Max. He will undoubtedly elevate your evening with his exceptional service and genuine...
