We celebrated my daughters 21st Birthday and it was absolutely phenomenal!!!

After months and months of preparation with the proprietor Mario, the party was amazing from start to finish. Mario and I had been conversating since April 2021 during lockdown and we didn’t even know whether lockdown would be opened- the party was planned for August. So, he said let’s wait until June and take it from there. At the time I hadn’t paid a deposit and was worried someone would take my date but Mario reassured me weekly/fortnightly by email/phone.

In June we went through the meal choices; buffet/3 course meal and discussed the menu. I selected the 3-course meal. We went through décor, a choice of seat covers, chair ties, table cloths, centre pieces; he was absolutely thorough. I knew he was a perfectionist and I felt this party was in safe hands.

As the weeks went by the numbers increased and the food allergies/intolerances grew. Mario smiled and took it all in his stride. We organized our own balloonist, DJ and videographer. Mario made recommendations. The 3-course meal and bar prices were very reasonable. Mario even bought us some Wray & Nephew which put the party into swing.

As we approached the day, we both became quite nervous as we had just been given the all clear post lockdown and the day was upon us.

On arrival the venue was absolutely beautiful we had chosen a pastel theme, Mario and his team had made my vision a reality and more. The staff were sooooo professional, attentive and everything was done with a smile. I could not fault them- the hospitality was 10/10. There was a young waitress who had started that night, initially she was nervous but as the night unfolded you would never have known. Thank you- You know who you are.

My daughter cried on arrival not knowing the full details of the event, the food was Michelin 10/10, a big shout out to the chef- Marios wife Maria.

We had a seating plan with numbers that indicated their menu choice and the children all sat on one table. The food was hot and very quick. The family were dancing straight after starters it was that good.

Security were cool guys, making sure we were safe and nothing untoward was happening. Thanks guys.

From the bottom of my heart I would like to say a huge thank you to Mario, Maria, all the waiting/bar staff and security.

Mario you are a Star!- a perfectionist which made me feel safe.

I was one of those (62 individuals) that attended your venue last Friday. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant/bar if you can even call it that. Firstly we did have pre-arranged times, beginning with the starters that came out at half 8, when they were supposed to come out at half 7, with dessert coming out around quarter past 11???

Secondly, I waited over half an hour for a drink. Half an hour!!! With no queue!!! I work in a very busy bar myself, I appreciate the stress, however to stand there for 5 mins after receiving a simple drinks order and twiddle your thumbs, to then 5 mins later say that I should wait for the bar man to come back to serve me is beyond ridiculous.

Thirdly, as well as the late food (which was not even that warm), long waiting times for drinks, and then the card machine breaking... all I heard all night was the staff arguing amongst themselves and then leaving dirty plates on the bar right by where we were eating.

I would like to say that all that got us through the night was the entertainment! The music kept everyones spirits up and actually kept us within the venue! So thank you for that! Other than that I'm pretty sure I can say you had a lot of unhappy...

The place is very nice and I would give it a 5 for the venue. However the administration put me off big time: despite our clear menu requests they still served us what they decided, not what we actually agreed. They were very dodgy about the price - at the end of the party tried to overcharge us saying that we had more guests then we actually had. Also, 3 days before the party they pretended they forgot about the menu which was agreed weeks in advance. We ended up being served what they decided we should have instead of what was actually ordered. Left us with a very bitter aftertaste... please note we used the venue for a larger function, possibly their restaurant dining...
