Worst experience ever! First and last time I’ll use that place, honestly what awful service. Me and my friend were ordering a pizza last night, my friend a vegetarian and I am a vegan. We decided to go with papa John’s over dominos because of their vegan selection which looked great. We tried to make an order over the phone as we wanted to get the take two Tuesday deal on any pizza and any sides however the man on the phone was rude, kept getting the order wrong and kept giving us completely different prices for what we wanted. (First it was £35 because he forgot to take the deal off.. then it was £17 then he Missed counted and it was £25, anyway we settled on the price being £31 something however as we were in the middle of the call the phone went dead. I then called back and said we have just been trying to order and the phones gone dead, is the order confirmed? He read it back to me. I said ok and then nothing.. no thank you for your service, no all done delivery will take x time. The phone line went dead again. I then decided to check online at weather we were charged right ( as no prices in leaflet) and when I put in the exact same order through it came to £27.97...?!? So I rung back up AGAIN and I said look you called it £31 but on ur site it says £27.97 the response back was ‘Ooh you wanted the deal on your sides too’ well of course!!!!!!!! It was becoming more and more hard work. Then when we finally received the delivery and guess what? It was WRONG!!! Now as I said before both me and my friend are veggie/vegan and what do u think we received instead of a side of potato tots? A side of CHICKEN WINGS!!! I called back straight away and said look you have sent out our order wrong he was extremely abrupt and asked what I wanted and I explained that I am a vegan hence why I ordered the vegan pizza he then said he would send them again. No apologies, no asking to confirm my address all very odd then the line went dead again. We got it and it was all very bland, I wouldn’t order it again. The buffalo Cauliflower bites were tasteless. It was like a deep fried bit of cauliflower with orange breadcrumbs on the outside of it (I’m expecting a sweet, smoky bbq buffalo sauce but it was nothing like that. The no chicken bites were like processed chicken nuggets, again I couldn’t eat them all as I did not enjoy them at all. The jackfruit pizza was ok. When the delivery driver did come back with the potato tots he asked to take the chicken wings back, I just really hope they did not get sold on again as that would be extremely irresponsible considering we are in a pandemic. All in all shocking service, will never be ordering from there again. The whole thing was a shambles, the staff should take more care in what they do especially when it comes to dietary requirements as I also got given a special garlic dip in my vegan pizza box (which says may contain eggs on the allergen website and is vegetarian and NOT vegan) The whole thing was a joke, I honestly don’t know how they...

They say the definition of madness is repeating the same thing over again, and expecting a different result. Sadly, that’s what we did.
We had previously ordered a pizza and it arrived about an hour and fifteen minutes after the order was placed. We understand, it was busy, these things happen. We merrily started eating our pizza and our faces dropped after the first bite. Not only has the pizza taken over an hour to arrive, it was so cold it felt like it had been sitting outside for an hour of that.
After providing feedback, something I’m always happy to do (good more than bad), I was told we would receive a call from the shop. On tenterhooks I waited. And waited… and waited. Then an email arrives asking how the call went. Somewhat perplexed, I replied we had received no call. I was promptly offered a free pizza and issued with an apology.
Free pizza. Brilliant, just what we need. Boris is telling more lies, and the news is doom and gloom, a free pizza will brighten things up. Or so we thought.
The order goes in, we sit back to watch a film, and wait patiently for our glorious, steaming hot combination of meat, cheese and bread to arrive. An hour once again passes, we notice the time on the film. I give them a call and am told that it should be with us (they’re right it should be, and worryingly, their app says it is) and it was cooked half an hour ago.
A few minutes pass, and the pizza finally arrives. Perfectly timed to match a wave of tiredness that was flowing over us. Anyway, let’s plough on we thought. We open the box, and already we know there will be problems. The way of heat isn’t there. Perhaps, it’s retaining the heat. It will be ok. The first bite… I wish I could tell you that it was all fine, and the delicious hot pizza filled me with endorphins. However, it was the morning after and pulling out a slice from a box stuffed in the fridge. The pizza was so cold, the cheese had reformed into a block. We call the restaurant who offered us a free pizza. I said I didn’t want a free pizza, I just wanted the one I had hot. The gentleman didn’t seem to understand and, quite sweetly mumbled “free pizza?”
My advice to any readers: there are enough pizza places on Deliveroo, or Just Eat to avoid Papa Johns in Greenwhich. Don’t follow...
Read morePapa John's pizza Greenwich may look like your average neighbourhood Papa John's joint, but is anything but! I was introduced to Papa John's by my mom and cousins who lives 3 minutes away and have been going for years.
I had my niece's over for the weekend and wanted to treat them to a pizza on Saturday evening, so I called Papa John's in Greenwich as I preferred the Greenwich branch rather than my local Woolwich or Plumstead branch. Simply because the Greenwich branch is much tastier and always seem to be patient, friendly, welcoming and professional it also has a sense of community family/neighbourhood vibe to it.
I was greeted over the phone by Mizan, very professional and demonstrated good customer service.
He helped me with my order as I was short with time and needed something filling and fast so he made a few suggestions.
We ordered a very tasty robust but not overpowering round garlic bread and 1 large meat feast pizza with extra cheese. The crust was crisp, flavorful, and chewy. The toppings worked together beautifully. The marinara and pesto were packed with flavour, and the mozzarella had a great consistency and very little oil to which exceeded our expectations.
Mizan went above and beyond with his customer service greeting me once again face to face with friendly service and even using his initiative to cut the pizza small for the children. Absolute superstar manager should make him employee of the month.
Thank you guy's once again fantastic service, quality food and...
