I’ve never given a negative review on here before, but I was so, so disappointed with our experience at Marsha that I feel it warrants it.
Firstly, from the moment my friend and I arrived, we were made to feel incredibly unwelcome. We stood waiting to be acknowledged for a table for a very long time, being asked to move out of the way by several members of staff as they walked past. No greetings, or ‘we’ll be with you in a minute’. We had to essentially find a member of staff who wasn’t doing anything to be seated (a common theme from this experience..). This would be totally understandable if the restaurant was busy, but aside from ourselves we counted only a handful of other tables both outside and upstairs.
Once seated, it was as if all members of staff vanished and a young family with a very hungry child asked if they could use our menu’s as no one had given them any. No one came to take our order for 35 minutes and it wasn’t until another table left their seats to hunt someone down that any of us (three tables in total) were able to order. Despite the long wait, we were made to feel like this was a massive inconvenience.
After ordering, we watched our cocktails be made at the bar and essentially sit there for a further 20 minutes. In the meantime, the correct order was delivered to us but swiftly whisked away as the server had confused the tables (again, understandable if the restaurant was busy, but at this point there were only six tables being served between upstairs and downstairs). I had touched the burger, but this was still given to the other table. As the member of staff left to go back to the kitchen, we asked if he could retrieve our cocktails as they had been sitting there for such a long time, to essentially be told that it wasn’t his job and that the bar should sort it out 🙃
When the food finally came, we again asked for our drinks which were delivered. The food itself was luke-warm and the buttermilk burger tasted like it had little seasoning in its batter. The burger was also meant to come with a ‘kimchi coleslaw’, but both myself and my friend failed to find any kimchi in this.
When we finally paid the bill, (again after having to hunt someone down) we politely explained to our server the issues we had with the meal/ poor service and that we didn’t want to pay the service charge. This was met with excuses, that they were busy (despite us watching them stand around in groups, chatting by the till, people messing around whilst setting tables etc) and a generally petulant attitude. Eventually he conceded and said ‘we’ll fair is fair I guess’, no apology.
As I said before, I’ve never left a negative review for a restaurant on here before. I think it’s important to support businesses, especially during this ever changing economy and turbulent time. I am leaving this negative review because the private feedback I sent hasn’t been acknowledged and I hope that our experience can constructively change the working culture in your Carnaby Street branch. Our visit has left a bitter taste in our mouths and we won’t be returning or recommending Marsha to any of...
Read moreI recently went to Paradiso Burger for the first time, in carnaby street. and overall, it was a delightful experience. The burgers were undoubtedly top-notch, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. However, I must express my disappointment with the state of the restrooms, which left much to be desired.
Let me start by emphasizing the positive aspects of my visit. The burgers at Paradiso Burger were absolutely delicious. Additionally, the service provided by the staff was outstanding. Each member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly.
However, I must address the issue that dampened an otherwise fantastic evening—the condition of the restrooms. Regrettably, the cleanliness of the facilities did not match the high standards set by the burgers and service. The restrooms were rather unpleasant, and I was disappointed to find them in such a state. I believe it is essential for the management to take immediate action and address this matter promptly.
Unfortunately, when I attempted to contact the management internally regarding this issue, I was unable to find an email address on their website. It would be greatly appreciated if Paradiso Burger could provide an easily accessible means of communication for customers to voice their concerns or provide feedback. This would undoubtedly demonstrate the management's commitment to addressing and resolving such matters effectively.
In conclusion, I must commend Paradiso Burger for their exceptional burgers and outstanding service. However, I urge the management to prioritize the cleanliness and upkeep of their restrooms, as they currently fall short of expectations. I sincerely hope that my feedback will prompt the necessary action to rectify this issue promptly.
Note: While I have chosen not to share the photo I took of the restrooms, I hope that my review serves as a sincere plea for the management to thoroughly investigate and...

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, it was a complete disaster.
First, the staff couldn’t stop obsessing over the fact that one person in our group might order from another restaurant. Their overreaction was so excessive and uncomfortable, it set a terrible tone for the entire evening. To make matters worse, the servers had an incredibly bad attitude—rude, dismissive, and uninterested in providing basic hospitality.
Then came the food, which was an absolute nightmare: • Wrong Orders: They couldn’t even get our order right. • Forgotten Items: The fries we ordered were completely forgotten. When they finally arrived (after we reminded them), they were half-cooked and inedible. Came after our mains were served . • Hygiene Issues: The chicken strips were undercooked with raw batter, and the wings were bland and barely average. To top it all off, one of the wings had a white hair stuck to it. Disgusting and absolutely unacceptable.
As for the drinks, they were no better: • The “hot toddy” was a joke. It lacked basic ingredients like lime and cinnamon, wasn’t served hot, and tasted like overly sweet syrup. It wasn’t even remotely close to what a proper hot toddy should be. Served in a whiskey glass 😂
The only saving grace was the wine—and that’s simply because it wasn’t made in-house.
Overall, this restaurant failed on every front: terrible service with bad attitudes, bad food, and appalling hygiene. I left feeling cheated and disgusted.
