The sandwiches were naff - the mozzarella and tomato baguette was fairly tasteless - presumably in part from sitting in the fridge for a while - and the bread was soft and rather boring.
However the hot food was surprisingly good. My wife ordered the vegetarian lasagne - this was a really simple dish, very few ingredients, but very tasty. The other pasta dishes looked pretty good too. I regret choosing a sandwich!
The queuing system was quite frustrating, it moves so slowly, there must be a better way of making this work. The lasagne arrived in just a few minutes after we finally ordered it, but getting to the front of the queue to order in the first place took around 15 minutes, and there were only perhaps a dozen people in front of us. I assume hot drinks are the bottleneck, if they could somehow separate that out it would all move much more quickly.
We also ended up having to sit outside, which was rather disappointing, on a chilly day in January. I guess I can't really legitimately complain about this, the building is what it is, they only have the space they have, and it was a Sunday lunchtime so you'd expect a cafe on the...
Read moreAbsolutely 💯 beautiful and friendly place. It feels like you want to come there again and again. Food is absolutely yummy, and I had a breakfast there with my friend Catarina. Next time, I will try some pasta as my friend is really recommending. Staff were super friendly. Coffee is very rich and creamy. Next time, I'm definitely coming there with my family to enjoy the food and the beauty around. What a beautiful view there. Had a chance to talk with the over of the place, very friendly and kund gentleman. It's a really warm atmosphere there, feels like a big friendly family works there. I wish I could leave 10 stars 🌟, but google allows only 5. Best of the best place. Next time, I will do some photos and will...
Read moreI visited this cafe whilst a Cross Country running event was taking place so there was long queues. The cafe itself was basic but OK - loads of delicious looking cakes etc, not much healthy to eat, reasonable coffee and service. The seating area is surrounded by glass which gives good views. There weren't toilets which were accessible from inside but there were some grotty ones nearby. The cafe is at the bottom of the hill and nearish to the road, so is convenient. There was also a Saturday farmers market nearby which had a good...
