I have been a loyal customer of Pizza GoGo Dulwich for several years, always ordering for collection and consistently enjoying the same pizzas. However, my recent experience with their customer service was nothing short of appalling.
When I called to place my usual order, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. He put me on hold twice before finally asking for my order. To my surprise, he informed me that I could no longer order the pizzas I had been enjoying for over four years. Despite feeling frustrated, I confirmed my order, only to be met with impatience from the staff member. He abruptly stated that it would take 15 minutes and attempted to hang up the phone before I could finish ordering. When I pointed this out, he rudely stated that he wasn't in the mood and I should hurry up or don’t order and then abruptly ended the call.
Shocked and upset by the treatment I received, I decided to visit the shop to voice my concerns. Unfortunately, the encounter only became worse as the same staff member displayed aggressive behavior towards me. He started clicking his fingers and demanded that I leave the shop. To my disbelief, he even called his colleague, presumably a friend that rides a delivery bike, to intimidate me further. Apparently this guy began to tell me that the guy in question is the manager if this is correct WOW.
Amidst the escalating situation, a kind individual from the kitchen approached me. He apologised for the incident and offered a free pizza as a gesture of goodwill. However, I declined the offer, as my intention was never to receive compensation but rather to pay for my order and express my disappointment regarding the customer service I received. It saddened me to have such a negative experience with a local pizza shop that I had considered my go-to for years.
I am deeply upset by this incident and the poor customer service exhibited by the staff member in question. As a result, I have made the decision to never order from Pizza GoGo Dulwich again, despite the kindness shown by the other employee. It is my hope that the management of Pizza GoGo takes this matter seriously and addresses the behavior of their employees. Manners and quality customer service should be a priority for any establishment, and it is clear that improvements are needed in...
Read moreI'm disgusted by the employees. I don't know what the hell is going on there but it's disgraceful. Me and my mother have been loyal to especially Pizza gogos for 20 years. That is loyalty to another level. It used to always be perfect but the customer service this year makes me LIVID. I've realised they are obviously not the same people that used to be there before. Earlier this year there was an issue same guy same voice and I let it go but there is a limit to everything. Recently it was regarding a pizza that we paid for additional chicken which wasn't on there. He was adamant that it was the right portion. We've ordered here for YEARS think we'll know the difference? and then he slips out that we had a discount from the app to explain why we got less which shows he did this on purpose. I shouldn't have to explain or talk about my discount? We DESERVE it at this point after spending god knows how much from this one branch. The guy on the phone said I don't like arguments although I'm just speaking, I asked for his name because I thought this was unacceptable he then hangs up the phone?! This is the first time in MY LIFE I have felt tempted to go to the store and do something physically. But I have self control. In addition to everything they gave tiny wings compared to normal and we've spent over £1,000s at this place. I'm just baffled that there is no decency in the way they speak, constant excuses and think they can get away with it. Mark my words this place WILL SHUT DOWN if the same people are there and...
Read moreWhile not exactly evoking the the notes of juicy plum tomatoes grown in Tuscan soil, the softness of unassuming mozzarella fresh from the buffaloes of Campagnia and the assertive kick of basil leaves plucked from the gardens of a marble-paved villa in the Apuan mountains, this pizza still delivers an enjoyable and fulfilling (literally and metaphorically and spiritually) experience. Staff are sufficiently friendly and while their phone manner may at times lack a certain refinement, a certain je ne sais quoi of the more elevated complexities of human communication, it is a pleasant relief for once not to be told to put on a jacket and tie before being able to access my evening meal. Delivery is prompt and consistent and what I find particularly admirable is that the delivery man ascends the mighty steps that lead to the top of the stone tower in which I reside to deliver my...
