Pizza Hut Surrey Quays — Restaurant in London

I ordered a large pizza, a side, some dips, and ice cream through the pizza hut app. However, not only did it arrive 15 late, but they didn't include the ice cream I ordered.

This initially wasn't a big deal but I still wanted what I paid for. So, I called the store just to try to get credit for the next time I ordered something or something like that.

But, little did I know I seemed to encounter their local joker who wasn't interested in helping and clearly just wanted to mess with people. After facing multiple busy dial tones I finally got through and I explained the mistake but was then promptly told it probably was another store and I should check with them. I double checked the phone number and address on my email and it was definitely this store. So, I called back only to face another busy dial tone so I waited a bit, and after a couple tries, I finally got through and the guy would put me through this game where he would ask something from me like "what's your address?" then put the phone down and just be gone for 2-4 minutes only to eventually come back and say "oh I can't find your address. Then it was "what's your order number?" And again be gone for 2-4 minutes before coming back and saying "I can't find your order number", then same thing again for the customer number. I was on the phone for over 15 minutes just waiting for him to acknowledge my order.

This is the worst service I've ever had from a Pizza Hut over something that was initially incredibly trivial. I had only hoped they would return the funds for the ice cream or give me a discount for a future purchase, but I want expected to be treated so poorly over such a trivial issue.

It's worth saying the pizza itself was also not good - as though it had been sitting around a while.

I personally think this guy should be fired because I hate trolls - but you make what you want out...

Be wary of the reviews especially those with 5 stars. I noted that a few names matches the names of staff working in this branch and this is extremely unethical.

I would have given them 0 stars if I could! So far, I've made 3 orders from this branch and each order had their own problems.

First order: Pizza was delivered over two hours late and after many rude calls from the delivery person and myself trying to liaise with the store. Pizza arrived with the box falling apart. Pizza was cold and looking a mess. I also had a missing item from my order.

Second order: This was a complimentary order as my last order was messed up. Pizza arrived warm but looking like someone had decided to shake the pizza back and forth in the box. Pizza tasted undercooked as well. This order arrived in time.

Third order: Delivery person had refused to deliver the pizza to my door step and asked for me to meet her on the streets to collect it. She was very rude over the phone. Please do not offer pizza delivery if you cannot provide delivery to the doorstep likes other companies!

I've learnt the hard way and will never ever order from this branch again. There are after all plenty of options around - Dominos, Papa Johns, Firezza, 1889 will deliver in this area. Surrey Quays cafe does good pizzas if you want to eat in or take away! Or if you're still keen for some Pizza Hut, then there is another branch in the nearby...

We ordered our Pizza, and whilst waiting we received a phone notification that the pizza was delivered when it wasn't.

When we called them to ask where it is they said it was still on its way, however, we promptly received a call from the driver that said he couldn't reach us after several calls.

This didn't make sense for several reasons because not only did we receive no missed calls, but he was talking to us on the phone so it definitely worked, and if he had failed to get hold of us why did he put that the pizza had been delivered?

When we asked him why he never knocked our door or rang the buzzer if he couldn't reach us by phone like he claimed, and he dismissed it, and said that it doesn't matter now as he has moved on and we will have to cancel our order in order to get a refund (as he had put the pizza as delivered although it wasn't).

Terrible service, unfriendly and rude with ridiculous drivers that falsely claim deliveries are on time even if pizza...
