I have always enjoyed coming for my latte, being greeted with a smile and normally an overall pleasant staff, but my last visit left me speechless. 9 times out of 10 I'm generally greeted and served by a young man at the till, swift and efficient. This incident enraged me to the point that I was duty bound to make an official complaint to head office. The young man, I shall refer to as O, is diligent, swift and efficient and it shows that he enjoys his work. On this occasion, there were 3 members of staff in the background, seemingly with nothing to do, making no attempt to even look busy. I'm an Englishman,I run my own business which requires me to speak several different languages. I looked towards them as they were giggling away, but then I saw one of them point towards O and make the most despicable, disgraceful comments about him, all the while his back was turned. They spoke in what was quite obviously their native language, making heinous comments, it was, quite frankly for me an extremely difficult situation to be in. O appeared blissfully unaware, and for that I was thankful. I asked for the manager but was told he wasn't available by one of the aforementioned disgraceful members of staff. No offer of name or contact number. As I left, I bade farewell in their mother tongue, and their faces drained of colour. And worse still the fact that no other "team" member intervened. The young man O has always been pleasant and courteous, but not one for idle chit chat. This makes him a valuable member of staff in my books. This can be no means have been the first time he's been ridiculed and verbally abused, and I was overwhelmed with sadness, I was left with no choice. These woman represent a company that is well loved and appreciated, no respect for themselves or the establishment where they work. And I will push this until resolved. Failing any resolve I will approach O so that he is fully cogniscent of what took place. And if these woman are a representation of Pret, that would be a travesty. I am but one customer, one fish in a very big ocean, but I am an enormous fish, and I've earned respect.I WILL NEVER ENTER THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. .But I will not rest until this is resolved. Read moreReally shocked by today's lunchtime service and the rudeness from the staff members today - i go to this store every morning and sometimes also do lunch as I manage a large estate across the road. I opted for a sandwich, a drink and the warm crispy potatoes. After paying I politely asked for a bag from the lady serving, it wasn't offered and that's fine. She then proceeded to pack the bag placing the sandwich and drink in first and then the potatoes which have an open packaging she placed into the bag so that when traveling all of the items would fall to the bottom and potentially into the bag out of thier packaging - noting this i attempted to help and was scolded by the server and told to let her finish. To which I did, and suprise suprise the potatoes fell into the bag as I had trued to avoid. My issue here is that a simple service request for a bag was treated with such disdain, my offer to help was met with rudeness having just paid £12 for my lunch. I have never come across this server previously and don't usually leave reviews but she honestly has left such a bad taste in my mouth something must be said - i don't pay money and frequent a store for someone to be rude to me after having...
Read moreI’m a regular customer, and therefore use the app every time I make a purchase. This morning I ordered a strong Latte & was alerted via email I had reached 10 stars. This showed on my app also.
This afternoon, after making a purchase I mentioned to the brunette behind the till she hadn’t added this to my bill. She said If it was on the app it would have done it automatically. I confirmed I received an email this morning and showed it both to her and her colleague a brown skin male and she kept on repeating the same thing.
Nevertheless it’s not about the discount as I go there nearly everyday, it’s about the lack of know how as she has been working there for a while. As well as the treatment I received.
I don’t know if she was having a bad day, but please in future listen to your customers instead of repeating the same thing or at least look bothered...
