Project Orange — Restaurant in London

I’ve been coming to this bar for years and it has a soft spot in my life because I get to enjoy some great music and drink some great beer. Unfortunately, I came in a couple time this week with some friends and requested a few songs, some a bit heavier, like death metal which is normally played here but I was told that I cannot have my music played. I understand that it’s a request and that the bar can deny to play the song but we’ve been here before and it’s not a problem. It doesn’t feel like project orange anymore. We left after awhile because we just didn’t feel like it was the same place we once loved. Such a funky place and highly uncharacteristic of the surrounding area. That's a very good thing. Clapham is pretty notorious for its overpriced, vacuous and soul crushing nightlife, but Project Orange, or "POrange" as it's known to its fans, bucks that trend nicely.

Sometimes categorised as a metal bar, the music is more generic alternative / punk (think Smashing Pumpkins, Maiden, etc). There are lots of interesting beers on draft and in bottles, plus tons of other stuff, premium spirits, prosecco, you name it.

First time going to this pub with my flatmate and we both had a great time! Were both weary of the place since we didn’t see too much of them via social media. We visited Saturday night 26/3/22 and wasn’t too packed or too empty. Small metal punk joint with a great variety of music playing. We both appreciated the decor and attentive staff. I personally loved it because I didn’t pay for a single drink and went home tipsy haha everyone was incredibly friendly. A good mix of alternative looking people and normies.
