Rack & Bone — Restaurant in London

Ordered through Just Eat. Extremely unhappy with my order. The order arrived quite obviously missing the two milkshakes that I had paid £10.05 for so I called the restaurant. I was met with absolute indifference and was asked if I can go and pick them up (after the meals have arrived), the restaurant is over a mile away, and would I have ordered takeaway at all if I was going to pick it up? I then asked to have them delivered to be told that they have no delivery driver, so I asked how they were going to resolve the issue to be told "Let us know next time and we will give you two free milkshakes". So the restaurant is firstly assuming I would order again and then essentially asking me to GIVE them £10.05 until I order with them again. No chance. We opened the food bag after calling the restaurant to realise that not only were the milkshakes missing but the £4.35 fries were too. Current total of items missing now £14.40, our entire order value was £29.85 so essentially half of the order is missing and without sounding too dramatic; ruining mine and my partner's evening meal. Finally, after trying and failing to sort out our meal, I sat down to eat the (frankly rather sad looking) burger to find that although looking cooked on the outside, was raw (not rare) throughout the entire burger rendering it inedible. Has a lot of potential but defo has some things they should improve on. On the opening week we ordered a mixture of sides, the “rack” of ribs and tried one of their burgers. The burger was great and I would try another off their menu however seeing as this is a “smokehouse” I was disappointed in the one smoked beef rib option. Secondly the ribs were so chewy it had a huge chunk of unrendered fat through the centre. I must say the flavour was lovely and I would have loved a side of that gravy to help It along but ribs should have been cooked for hours and falling off the bone as you eat them. Sadly this was not the case. I did also wait a very long time , I ordered 30 mins in advance and waited a further 20 mins in their shop. If it hadn’t been for the discounted price I would have been really annoyed at this meal. I really hope they take on some of the suggestions and make this place great. If there is only one smoked dish, it should be exceptional. I was literally scraping the gravy off the sides of the container...

It was the grand opening of Rack & Bite and they were giving out free food as we were the first customers! I went with a group of friends and we all got a bag of free food each. I got chips, a wrap, a drink (Lipton Ice Tea Peach) and sauces. My friends got chips, a drink, sauces and either a wrap or a burger or chicken wings. We all loved the food in our surprise bags and intend on going to Rack & Bite again! The chips are shaped so that you can scoop the sauce and get lots on them and were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the wrap was juicy, full of things and didn’t fall apart and the sauces were great and complimented the flavours of the wrap really well. My friends were all just as happy with what they got as well! The service was lovely (the people who served us were really friendly) and the atmosphere was welcoming and joyful! 10/10. Highly...
