Rack City Ribs — Restaurant in London

We’d been meaning to try Rack City Ribs for ages and finally made it down, but overall we left underwhelmed.

Positives: • Generous portions for the price • Very friendly staff (though not very informative—when we asked what came with the platter, the answer was just “loads of extras”) • Quick service, with little wait for food • The roti bread was good

Negatives: • The ribs were tough and definitely did not “fall off the bone” as we’d hoped. (Maybe just an off day, but it was disappointing.) • One of the rib dishes came in a curry goat–style sauce that was surprisingly bland. • The mac and cheese was fine, but given the hype online, it didn’t really stand out. • Our Caribbean platter was missing oxtail. If it wasn’t available, it would have been nice to have that communicated. • Our Caribbean BBQ Platter was also missing jerk pork belly. • Advertised on the menu at £70, but when you arrive they tell you the cost is £80 plus service charge which totalled at £90.

Overall, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype for us, and we probably won’t return. Considering the many positive reviews, it may just have been a matter of consistency, but our visit fell short of...

Decided to try after quite a bit of social media buzz

Well priced, friendly service from the waitress, the service of the male server was a bit so so.

The food however was pretty underwhelming, the chicken i received looked like it had been through he'll and back, heavily over-fried and under flavoured. The ribs were pretty standard, didnt have a fresh taste about them but was passable. The mac and cheese and the coleslaw were below what I would expect from and self respecting restaurant.

Overall, quite disappointed and one of the more underwhelming meals I've had in a long time, particularly as I had decent expectations based on the social media hype, maybe it was all the rage at some point, but...

The ribs here are out of this world. Amazing. Great portion and wonderful. 5/5.

The service is well below par. 24 hours to answer an email. Told the kitchen opened at 5…..and people were eating at 415 when we arrived …so made it difficult to plan out afternoon in town.

The bar and the food are different businesses and it shows. The food service was zero effort, no clearing of plates, no decent order taking communication. Disappointing to...
