I recently had the absolute pleasure of spending an evening at a bar where Bart was tending, and I can confidently say he’s one of the finest bartenders I’ve ever encountered. From the moment I walked in, his warm, inviting smile and easygoing demeanor set the tone for a fantastic night. It’s clear that Bart is not only passionate about what he does, but he genuinely enjoys connecting with the people he serves. His personality immediately put me at ease, and I could see he had a natural way of making everyone feel welcome, whether they were first-timers or regulars.

As for his skills behind the bar, they are nothing short of exceptional. Bart's cocktail-making abilities are simply top-notch. Every drink I ordered was perfectly crafted, with just the right balance of flavors, and his recommendations were spot on. When I wasn’t sure what I wanted, he took the time to ask about my preferences, suggesting unique cocktails that suited my taste perfectly. His knowledge of different spirits and cocktail combinations was impressive—he knows his craft inside and out, and you can tell he takes great pride in his work.

What really makes Bart stand out, though, is his impeccable attention to detail. Not only does he make sure every drink is a masterpiece, but he’s also incredibly observant when it comes to his customers. He has an almost intuitive sense of when to engage in conversation and when to give people space to enjoy their time. Whether he’s exchanging stories or sharing a laugh with customers, he brings such a positive energy to the bar that it’s impossible not to have a good time in his presence.

Throughout the night, I noticed how Bart managed to create a fun, laid-back, and inclusive atmosphere for everyone. He treated every customer like an old friend, and you could see how much he cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. The bar was buzzing, but Bart never seemed flustered or overwhelmed—he was cool, calm, and in control, all while making it look effortless.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable night out with expertly made drinks, great conversation, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home, Bart is the bartender you want. Update 17/03/24 - 4 stars - Came in for a Sunday roast using a Wowcher offer and the portions of pork and beef were much smaller, possibly half what we have received in the past. Looking at what other people paying full rate received, doesn't seem to have been related to the offer.

Manager(?) Frederico(?) was helpful as always so no penalty for staff or service, but when you pay the same and get noticeably less, can't help but feel disappointed. Would have been 3 stars if I'd paid full price (£19.00 for beef!). Guessing that half a chicken is still half a chicken, but who knows how big it is before you halve it.

Original review - 5 stars - Been here a few times and given its not the closest of pubs to my home, that alone should tell you something.

Roasts are good and a fair size (no horseradish though) and there's a decent selection of drinks to choose from.

Interior is comfortable and the location is very accessible by public transport and close to Camden centre. Outside seating is road side so not particularly cosy or green (there is no garden), but good for watching the urban world roll by.

Staff have always been helpful and mostly cheerful (1 person seemed to be having a bad day, but certainly not rude), even going above and beyond on a couple of occasions. Will almost definitely be back in the...

I had the pleasure of visiting the Camden Road Arms recently, and I must say, the highlight of my experience was the incredible service from Bart, the bartender. From the moment I walked in, he was warm, welcoming, and instantly made me feel at home. Bart is one of those rare individuals who truly makes the pub experience special – he’s charismatic, attentive, and has a great sense of humor that keeps the atmosphere lively and fun.

His knowledge of drinks is impressive, and he takes the time to recommend the perfect beverage to match your taste. Not only does Bart serve with a smile, but he also has a knack for remembering regulars and always greets everyone with genuine friendliness. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond are remarkable.

It’s rare to find someone who can balance efficiency with making each customer feel valued, but Bart does it effortlessly. The service was easily a 10 out of 10 – prompt, professional, and personable. Bart truly elevates the experience at Camden Road Arms, and I can't recommend him enough. I’ll definitely be coming back, and it’s thanks to Bart’s exceptional service!
