The food was phenomenal, some of the best Thai food i’ve had in London especially in the South West/ Richmond area. With competitors like Thai upon Thames and Sopa Thai, this restaurant is my favourite. The staff were so very friendly and accommodating. The menu had a great variety of dishes with a lot of alternative meat/protein options, making it the perfect restaurant for anyone’s dietary needs. The service was amazing and super speedy. I had tofu satay and the floating market rolls as a starter, then as I main I had the tofu green curry with coconut rice. My dad had chicken satay and dim sum which has prawn and pork in it. He also had roasted chili beef as a main with egg fried rice. My mom had vegetable spring rolls as a starter and the cashew chicken stir fry with coconut rice for mains. My parents both said the chicken satay was the best starter out of everything they ordered and the floating market rolls I had were impeccable. The green curry I had was probably the best I’ve ever tasted it was extremely delicious and both my parents said their dishes were excellent. My parents had rosé which was nice and apparently very good value for money. The restaurant was slightly empty with only a few other customers however, this was not a problem or a surprise for a Thursday evening during Easter weekend. Whilst being at the restaurant though, there were plenty of delivery drivers and pick ups so it is clearly very popular. The waitress had also told us that it can get very busy on the weekend so I would say it’s always best to book as we did book about an...
Read moreRaitakrai Thai Richmond is an absolute delight for anyone craving authentic Thai flavors in a warm and welcoming setting. From the moment you step in, the cozy ambiance and friendly staff make you feel right at home.
The menu offers a fantastic selection of traditional Thai dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Green Curry is rich and aromatic, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice, while the Pad Thai is flavorful and cooked to perfection. Their Chicken Satay is another standout, served with a deliciously creamy peanut sauce.
Service is efficient and attentive, with staff always happy to recommend dishes based on your preferences. The lunch set menu is great value, offering a variety of options at an affordable price.

Read moreThe worst Thai food I have ever had. This is the first time I have tried Raitakrai, only choosing it over my normal local Thai restaurants as they had Mango Sticky Rice on the menu. I ordered the Chicken Tom Kha soup which tasted incredibly sweet (bizarre!) and the chicken was overcooked. Followed by the spicy flat noodles which were beyond average and spicy to the point of it ruining the dish (coming from someone that likes spice). Then I got to the Mango Sticky Rice which was not worth eating. I get that the rice is meant to be sticky but it’s not meant to be one big congealed ball of rice that’s rock solid. The Mango was stringy and soapy so not quality mango and to top it off it had none of the traditional coconut cream sauce but instead it came with a ball of vanilla ice cream. To summarise - don’t waste your money you’ll be sorely disappointed. Far better choices for...
