Let me start off my review by saying that the atmosphere of this pub is really nice, we visited when fairy lights etc were up for Christmas. The food was lovely but the reason that I feel I cannot rate this pub more highly is because of a really negative interaction we had with one of the bar staff. For context we brought our baby daughter to the pub and this was one of our first outings as a family. This member of staff came over to us and was chatting to us about our baby (all fine at this point). We have a tag on our daughter’s pram that clearly says ‘PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH- I am too little for big germs’ and is visible to anyone who goes near the pram. Unfortunately this member of staff felt the need to stick her head inside the pram and say ‘are you too hot princess?’ And TRIED TO UNZIP MY BABY’S PRAMSUIT WITHOUT PERMISSION! For the record, my baby was not too hot but this didn’t stop this member of staff from thinking she knew best. What a total violation of our personal space! I picked my daughter up and we tried to enjoy the rest of our evening but after this, it was ruined. This member of staff then returned to try and tell us how to soothe and settle our baby, who once again was absolutely fine and just being a baby. I insisted that ‘she’s fine’ but this entire interaction was really disappointing. This member of staff had no respect or regard for our boundaries as parents or the safety of our daughter. Who tries to undress someone else’s baby without their permission? This is clearly a safeguarding issue and this member of staff is a liability and I will be following up with the management. I would hate for another new parent to have the same interaction we did.
The barman we dealt with was...
Read more🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 So we decided to go to a pub for few drinks after our meal cross the road with my mate and his family.
I order 4 pints and 1 double G&T comes down to £36.10p, i paid by card, few minutes after i decided to order shots (here it's get tricky and sticky) i asked bartender, if you guys do shots of Babyguinness? Bartender said i think my colleagues know how to do it, so i ordered 4 shots of babyguinness and a shot of tequila, we were waited around 15 to 20mins then i got our 5 SHOTS ALL TOGETHER and BILL WAS £55 quid?!?!?!
I paid by card and thinking to myself, this is insane and ask for receipts, which is i never get, nither my card payment receipt or till receipt.
My mate ask me how much was it, i said £55 quid moosh, he was shocked and went to the till ask for receipt and when i got my receipt, i was shocked.
5 × 50ml Baileys £25 5 × kahlua £24 1 × patron Silver £6
And we got just 5 shots altogether 4 babyguinness and 1 patron silver.
We asked for manager and she come up to the bar and said yep thats the prices for young pubs you know.
I said we didn't even got 5 babyguinness, we just got 4 and she refunded for 1 which is £9.80 again i ask for receipts and again something isn't very clear about it, because she give me refunded till receipt half tear..
I would really like a good explanation from them head office or customer...
Read moreRushed for our table from the moment we sat down, not sure if I'd book again because of this as it started getting almost rude. Only given just over 1.5 hours for two course sunday lunch and coffees, in fact our guests wanted deserts. We usually leave 2 hours for 2 courses plus coffee pre-theatre in Richmond and in central London. Some restaurants struggle with this. Obviously Fathers day is a busy day so would only come here again midweek, or in the middle of school holidays. Usually book online at TopTable etc. but had to book both online and on telephone. But persevered due to promise of good Sunday lunch. In this we weren't disappointed. But the other two points will mean we wont be back. We eat out two to three times a week, at least half of them in Richmond area, As a top ten reviewer for online booking system, I usually refuse to give negative feedback so good food, maybe we were unlucky with the rest. Hope the management find this helpful as it could be good all...
