Great little venue, and the night we went on had a spectacular lineup of DJs. The security was polite and entrance to the venue, warm and welcoming with an outside terrace area at the front.
Going into the bar, it seems small, but with a long back area, it actually opens up to be a good size, especially if it was a private party or group gathering for a night out.
The selection of drinks heavily weighted towards the Caribbean crowd which is a delight, it hurts my soul as a rum drinker when I go into bars and for rum they have only Barcadi or Captain Morgan, here you have classics from the islands like Eldorado, Mount Gay, Ray & Nephews not to mention Sorry Shandy, Guiness Stout and more choices for everyone.
Bar staff friendly and fun, serving with a smile and a wiggle as they dance and enjoy the night too.
DJ's are not always the same but on the night we attended there was an hour for all Caribbean and African ears with Soca, Lovers Rock, Reggae, Afrobeats and even so Oldskool Garage for us UK born distant children of the Caribbean.
With a late license, the bar is open until 3am, and the crowd inside were very much lovers and note haters, so everyone was welcomed and partied to enjoy themselves with a smile, and all attitude was left outside.
Strongly recommend you go...
Read moreHad the R&R lounge for my partners 40th Birthday.
The contract stated no confetti; however, this was a surprise birthday and i was not at the venue when the guests arrived. I walked in with my partner for he's surprise and there were a few confetti poppers which you would expect for a ''surprise''. The owner got very angry and ruined the event by telling me he is not happy. So that then ruined the mood, i spent a lot money to rent the venue and time and effort to arrange this party. It was a special occasion.
The owner then got he's hover out in middle of the surprise where we were greeting everybody and started hovering the dance floor and trying to make a point of it for 20 minutes which then ruined the videos and photos of the surprise / first dance.
it was quite embarrassing. He then did not notify me but refused to refund my deposit holding fee due to the confetti.
The drinks made a few people ill as they were not great quality but so overpriced. He also shut the smoking area one hour before closing time even though i had paid until 2am.
He was not accommodating with having the balloons dropped earlier in the day. Not recommended if you want a good vibe go somewhere else as you will be on eggshells here and won’t be able to enjoy the night as you...
Read moreThis is my honest review and experience of my evening on Sunday the 4th of October 2020. Well... I will just say this, we did not mind so much the health guides line, because we all want to be safe. But this is a Restaurant and bar right! So being pleasant and courteous is your business!!!!! And your right to serve your clientele With a smile at least. But of course that was not my experience. Sadly 😕😟😔 The owner/ manager, I found to be rude and unfriendly. The serving of plastic plates , plastic , glasses, knife and forks etc , ( I would of said eating utensils) if there were ensembles. How do you order lamb to you cut tough meat with plastic flatware !!!!😳 This was and is unacceptably at a dinner party. We even bought bottles after bottles of your Prosecco for our table. This was supposed to be an sophisticated evening to celebrate our love ones Birthday 🍰.🍾🥂. Now for the food!!!! Really... my tablet ordered the curry chicken and barbecue lamb , both dishes were tasteless . I hate to right these reviews for any public establishment especially from our own. Please do better for your next Caribbean event !! We would so much...
