Would have liked to give 4.5 stars if I could.

Really nice food. I slightly prefer Nando's, but that's just preference based on how it's done, not quality - can't fault what these guys make. Also, a much wider selection than Nando's - e.g. lots of beef/lamb/prawn dishes as well as chicken, and Mexican/Lebanese/Tikka flavour options as well as piri piri.

Clean, spacious, well-decorated.

Super service. The fact that there were more staff than customers when I went probably contributed to that, and given that so many restaurants have opened and closed at this end of town, my fingers are crossed that these folks won't be just the latest failure, but for now at least, it's nice to have very attentive service!

Not too bad price-wise - about 20% cheaper than Nando's.

What cost it the star? A bunch of slightly picky things: Two mistakes with my order, though they did correct the one I highlighted (a missing item) without charging me for it. Milkshake came in a takeaway cup even though I was dining in, which gave it a cheap feel. No normal Coke available - I know a bunch of other restaurants have also removed this from their menu, but still, grrrr. My meal came with a napkin on the side of the plate, which might have looked quite neat in the kitchen, but the sauce from the food had spread onto it... d'oh. The front door opening straight onto the dining area meant I got a blast of cold air every time someone opened it.

I've never ever witnessed such bad practice before. And I've eaten in some questionable places. But today with my kids I ordered my food and waited like everyone else. Whilst waiting there was a member of staff doing his duties of cleaning the tables etc.... I then watched him recycle the sauces and put them onto someone else's order when he went back to behind the counter. He Then opened the fridge door and "threw" a few bits of halloumi on the grill. Scratch his head picking his nose. Then thought he was going to package my food in front of me whilst watching all of what he was doing. Asked for a refund. And he told me to leave.... I then gave him some of my own words. He said he wasn't bothered.

Not busy was expecting better service. A couple of Deliveroo guys sat at the front of the restaurant on their phones waiting for their orders. Ordered quarter chicken meal. They took their time. The chicken when it came was not tasty. Terrible fries. Ordered spicy hot chicken. They just pour hot sauce over already cooked plain chicken so the spices and seasoning do not penetrate the flesh of the chicken to make it tasty. Good competition from Marleys across the road. The competitors Marleys and new place Champs are always busy. Their chicken always tasty and well seasoned. Their service always friendly with a smile. Roosters you can do better. Your advantage is the clean looking restaurant. Improve your food...
