It's unfortunate that I have to even leave one star as I would actually give this place a big fat zero. The hygiene in this place is shocking!. They have a sink for customers to wash their hands n the restaurant floor. The state of the sink will make you want to gag and there was no soap to even use. The menu looks good until the food came along. Very poor standard chicken which I could do a better job at home but was unfortunately on a lunch break and nowhere near home. The staff seemed to be talking all day long over the food which was waiting to be served to customers. I find that absolutely disgusting. What made it worse was that I ordered an apple pie which I didn't know at the time but I had seen it placed on the counter after I ordered and way before my main course came. When I told them that I was ready for my dessert, they were saying to each other that they think the pie was still frozen and they needed to put it in the microwave. Microwave???? What type of restaurant is this this, that they don't even serve fresh food. Was not impressed at all. Even to the point where I realised that the pie was actually mine and a customer came in and was talking over my food. What the heck is wrong with this restaurant. Very very poor hygiene, poor food and poor customer service. Even while I was there a guy was complaining that he had been waiting ages for his food. Read moreI ordered food and when it came my butterfly chicken and chicken wrap was raw! i called the store and they told me to come to the restaurant and they would cook me a fresh order. reluctantly i went as this was the only option, when i arrived i the manager had a serious attitude problem as if i was lying or it wasn't raw. i showed 3 members of staff the chicken and they all agreed it was raw. the manager walked away in to the back room and was still disagreeing with me after all staff member said it was raw. they cooked me a fresh order and bagged it up, so i asked if i could check it before leaving. one member of staff cut one piece open and said this is raw too it'll have to be cooked again. i wanted my money back but was assured it would be amended and the new one would be thoroughly cooked. i was given a 3rd order and told it was 100% cooked, i returned home only to find the chicken was the worst cooked out of all previous. so for the second time now i had to drive back and demand a full refund. once again i showed all members of staff and a waiting customer the chicken and asked if they understood how ill this could make me! this is by far the worst experience ive had with roosters and i have been a customer for a long time! do not eat from this branch as they obviously have no idea about food...
Read moreUnfortunately for Roosters, despite previously having had good experiences with them, today's experience will prevent me from ever using them again. Ordered two king prawn wraps at almost £7 each, however one came filled with only lettuce and a slice of tomato! Rang the restaurant, asked to speak to the manager, who just repeatedly fobbed me off saying the prawns should be there (no s* Sherlock!) He initially insisted he'd made them himself, but then eventually left me on hold for five minutes, "To check with the chef". When he finally returned, he said the prawns had been in there when it was packed but even if they weren't there, he had no drivers available to deliver another one so either ask Uber for a refund or just eat it!!!! I hung up absolutely fuming. The options of complaint with Uber, meant the only thing I could pick even close to the issue was, "A smaller portion than expected" and as a result, Uber won't refund, as it just seems like I'm complaining about portion size.
