Was looking forward to trying this place, but thoroughly disappointed.
The service is painfully slow. There were 4 people in front of me, and it took 20/25 minutes to get served.
The person before me ordered a chicken bagel. I am a vegetarian and ordered a veggie/vegan item from the menu. I was shocked when the server didn’t think it was appropriate to change his gloves to make my bagel after they had been used to handle the chicken and other meat items from the customers in front of me. I had to request for him to change his gloves and restart my order.
I was also told that they we're out of olives and if I was happy with them substituting in some capers, which I agreed to. Didn't realise that I'd be given 4 measly capers.
The bagel wasn't expensive, 3.33£, but don't even think it...

A clear purpose with no pressure. Then the bagels. The menu is odd. Contains things that really shouldn't work and the slightly Kabalic pricing. However, chef took his time on each sandwich with fresh ingredients, generous fillings and great attention to detail. Ingredients run out but I am guessing that most items are worth the wait. Eat them straight away to avoid your creation turning into a soggy mess! Proof that some people still give a shit and modern life is not totally rubbish....

Good price too and speedy service (which is needed because the queue was already building as soon as we got there just after noon!) It really is a little hidden gem, even though it’s on Rye Lane, but if you spot a queue and see excited faces trying to keep all the fillings in their Bagel, then you know you’ve found it. I can’t wait to visit...
