I found this place yesterday and decided to visit as Sushi or Japanese food in general are few and far between in this part of East London, especially ones that use halal meat. I normally go to yo sushi for my sushi fix (it's all we have that's I vaguely close) or some while at work in NW5 which has great Japanese restaurants. I drove to their location which is quiet discreet and out of the way. From outside it doesn't look like much, it's very small and you'd be fooled into judging this book by it's cover. But inside you are greeted with wonderful smiles and a genuine welcome. The place is clean and all the cooking and preparation is done in front of you and made to order. No pre- prepared sushi here. They prepare with great efficiency while at the same time keeping you informed and conversing with their customers. I ordered the steak yakisoba, chicken katsu curry, a set sushi box and some crispy gyoza. While I waited i was offered some complimentary spicy chicken karage which was delicious. I noticed that they had a few set sushi to take away if you are in a rush and for great prices. Food took 15 minutes to prepare, I got home and me and my wife got stuck in and i cant fault anything. The food was fantastic. The sushi was so light and the fish amazingly fresh. The katsu curry came with plenty of extra curry sauce separate from the rice and chicken to prevent it getting stodgy. The gyoza were light and crispy with plenty of filling.

I will definitely be visiting this place regularly, a sushi takeaway family restaurant that reminds me of the small sushi places scattered around LA, small and personable but with a high standard when it comes to the...

What a wonderful little gem. From the amazing, swift service, to the friendly knowledgeable owners to the fresh and delicious sushi. We were given a quick overview of the different types of sushi and settled for ordering katsu prawn buns and a sushi lovers mixed box for takeaway. Whilst we waited, we were handed tasty, spicy miso soup and a sample of delicious chicken as we watched our sushi box being freshly prepared. Delightful conversations whilst we waited and extra advice on how to keep the food fresh added to the extremely pleasant experience. With almost every bite came satisfying sounds as we devoured the sushi and buns and vowed to return soon to sample the rest of the...

This was an amazing experience from start to finish. From ordering with the very helpful staff to waiting for our order while we were offered free Miso soup and a hot fried dumpling because it was raining outside, to the smiling and AMAZING (can’t stress this enough) staff at the counter, to the chef herself coming to see us to explain every single plate and giving us tips on what to eat first and what we could keep as leftovers. Everyone was absolutely amazing. We were only visiting London and are so sad we won’t get to be regulars at this place which absolutely charmed us. I’ve genuinely never had such good service in my life AND the food was amazing...

Best sushi and buns in London! Super authentic Japanese food, great price point and the quality is excellent every time (the Spicy Chicken Karaage buns are a must-have!). They also have great vegetarian options like the Veggie Katsu curry. The service is excellent and they are always very welcoming. They often will have the food ready ahead of the collection time on a week day and will call to let you know you can pick it up. On weekends it can sometimes get a little busy so there are longer waiting times, but it's always worth it! Would highly recommend if you are in the Essex area.

I had the best experience with Sakura they made my sushi fresh and they gave me some tasty miso soup while I was waiting. The sushi itself was amazing I was very pleased and will be sure to go back!! Update - I have returned to Sakura many times in the last year and they have still managed to provide me with such a high level of service! I absolutely loveee their sushi and recently ordered their vegan appetisers which were soooo YUM! I wish I could rate more than once because you guys deserve so many more 5* reviews! Keep up the amazing food!!
