Super super disappointing and bland. Went with my sister after visiting London for the first time. After 5 minutes, we left as we wanted to look around the area for other halal restaurants. The woman working made an unfriendly face as we walked out. We did come back but she rolled her eyes at us. Chilli con carne didn't taste fresh at all, it was smothered in unmelted cheese. After asking for the cheese to be melted, it was blasted in the microwave. The dish was just white rice with unflavored dry and chunky minced meat. Moroccan chicken with cous cous: Chicken was nice but nothing special. Harissa tasted awful. Not worth the money and definitely not the authentic Moroccan experience we were hoping for, expecting and promised.

I came here with my sister one afternoon when looking for a highly rated place for lunch. Right away you are greeted with a colorful cafe with a big menu with very reasonable prices. Based on reviews I was reading before, I ordered the chicken royal salad. It only cost about £6.95. What a steal! It came with a salad, at least two pieces of chicken, hummus and other sides (sorry I wasn’t sure about the other things). The chicken and sides complimented each other very well. With the reasonable pricing, big portions, friendly service and quickly made meals, I would definitely recommend Shrigley’s!

I love coming here for breakfast. From walking in and ordering, to having breakfast on the table is usually less than 5-6 minutes! Brilliant service, and really friendly staff. The food is excellent - the Moroccan breakfast is lovely. Smoked salmon and scrambled egg on one side; turkey bacon omelette on the other side. Both served on a split and toasted English muffin with plenty of really tasty salad too. Excellent! Handy location, and easy to “pop in” for something to eat quickly (if you’re in a rush).

CHILLI CON CARNE = Trauma. Didn't taste fresh at all, smothered in unmelted cheese. After asking for the cheese to be melted, it was blasted in the microwave. The dish was just white rice with unflavoured dry and chunky minced meat. Zero flavour, my envisionment of prison food.

HABLOODYRISSA: If you want diarrhoea, consume the fresh harrisa. We were gagging from this intense, bitter paste. Even the stench was traumatising. Your eyes will shrivel and your brain will dribble out of your nostrils.

MOROCCAN CHICKEN WITH COUS COUS: Chicken was nice but nothing special. Cous cous tasted of grainy sand and majority of the plate was lettuce. Was not worth the money and was definitely not the authentic Moroccan experience we were hoping for, expecting and promised. Really disappointing. Furthermore, when arriving we took a few minutes to look at the menu and deciding if we actually wanted to try the food. After 5 minutes, we left. The woman working made an unfriendly face as we walked out probably because she was expecting us to order. We did come back after looking around the area and she rolled her eyes at us. She did however give us a sample to try of a dish when we enquired...

Customer service is not great, they served me my meal uncooked and not as advertised. I have come here 2 times, because I liked the food the first time. I just went today and purchased the Moroccan breakfast again for the second time. The cook was apparently not in today, But they did not tell me. I waited for 40 minutes for them to bring me the same breakfast uncooked and cold. I was unhappy, because it was not as advertised. And I ended up leaving because I wasn’t paying 8 pounds for a cold uncooked breakfast.

Also all of the menu and outside prices are out of date .They advertise the Moroccan breakfast with a coffee for £7.50, I ordered it and they said that they changed the price and now you have to order the coffee separately and it’s £10 now. Multiple customers complained about there inaccurate pricing. Changing the price is fine, but unfortunately they wait for you to finish eating first and then tell you the price changed when you go to pay at the end. They screamed at me when I was not happy about them being dishonest about the price. I encourage eating elsewhere to not deal with the stress and their...

Wow! What a gem. The value for money at Shrigley's was amazing. I have visited London many times and eaten in many places for breakfast, varying vastly in style and expectation. However this quaint Moroccan takeaway/diner served me the best breakfast I have ever had in the capital. I spoke of expectation and from an independent low key takeaway, you'd expect something hearty, and enjoyable. This exceeded everything. I ordered the Moroccan breakfast. Eggs cooked two ways, fried with turkey bacon and poached, cram packed with delicious Salmon. Served on an English muffin and accompanied with traditional Moroccan salad. It was all amazing, but the salmon poached egg was divine, I could have eaten ten of them. To top it off, the lovely lady behind the counter served with a smile and dedication to her customers. I love it when you expect a simple no fuss breakfast you've had a million times, then you get smacked in the taste buds with the most delicious flavours. Can't wait to...
