Simply Smashed - Quality Smash Burgers — Restaurant in London

Located on Mile End road, parking here is very hard to find still only minutes from the asda car park (2 hrs free parking) that was our last resort. I read the reviews and chose this place, and gave it benefit of doubt from the outside not eye catching at all no nice logos design which carried into the interior looking so bland standard takeaway shop. Told to order using the app which gives 30% off bill and then you have to pay cash only, luckily one round the corner near coffee shop (free atm). The prices are not worth it considering the amount and quality of the meat you are receiving. The beef tasted like the cheap meat not nice at all had a funny aftertaste. The chicken wings which they doused in sauce maybe it was to hide all the hair I saw lolz 😝 very off putting when you’re eating and see chicken hair…and the dynamite fries a bowl of sauce with some chips please thanks. (Wasn’t a fan of the sauces, dynamite wasn’t chilli and the buffalo one had a weird taste and the oil?)The plain chips were nice that was my highlight to my meal, it’s such a shame because the staff are so polite but the food was not up to standards we spent over £31 on 2 smashed ultimate combo @ £16.99 each. Has added extras like drinks sauces wings etc which adds your price up be careful. Great location, staff, website looks good but the food needs to be worked on..

After 2 months the owner decided to reply, I take my reviews very seriously as I understand the consequences. I drove past your restaurant and it was closed down not said for renovation sign or anything just saying. Plus being from london..I know about the parking obviously hence why I mentioned it for any other future customers. Fair be it on the note about the decor that’s understandable but I do not appreciate being called a liar on the prices as I did quote it correctly as I paid it!! I wish I took a picture of my receipt I now will be trailing through my emails and for future purposes taking photographs of receipts with full prices. I've been wanting to visit this place for some time now after the excellent reviews, so I was glad to see they now have an eat in option. The first time I went past, it was delivery or collection only and the shop was at the back of a florist I believe so I gave it a miss.

The decor is reasonably nice, a little cramped but it is what it is.

The member of staff Abdul Baki was very kind and courteous.

Unfortunately, me and a friend had to wait around 45 minutes for our food to come, which we felt was way too long especially for a small restaurant and it was not that busy either. I paid £25.25 for a Wagyu Bacon (halal) burger, NYC Fries, 6 Carolina Reaper wings and a Pacha drink.

The burger, whilst it was quite nice, we both agreed it was very small, more like the size of a cheeseburger rather than a quarter pounder. The burger was £9. The loaded fries were very tasty. The wings on the other hand, whilst the flavour was nice, it was barely spicy like the name Carolina Reaper would suggest. But the main issue was that it was very tough and boney. My friend had the parmesan wings which also had the same issue. We could not get all the chicken off the bones, it was just too tough and sharp and boney at the ends, both drumstick and the flat wings. The chicken just wasn't very soft nor coming off the bone easily.

Overall was a good meal and a pleasant experience.

This is not a negative review, rather constructive criticism. It felt overpriced for what we got. I am satisfied that is off the bucket list, but I cannot justify paying that much for what we received. Personal...

Visited this place for a quick bite. I ordered the simple smash burger with truffle wings and fries alongside a drink.

The decor is good, they have nice furniture and visually pleasing. They also have a punch machine which is awesome and different.

They have a range of items to choose from but I went for a standard meal just to check it out. Unfortunately we waited over 40 minutes to receive our food which came out slightly delayed between my friends. Also one meal came out wrong. The couple behind me also got up to complain about the wait however I do believe they were busy so wouldn’t really blame them!

Whilst waiting the the staff decided to pray next to us which is great for them but unfortunately made it slightly uncomfortable for us. We moved across so where not infront do them and decided to keep quiet out of respect. It just gave a uncomfortable vibe about it which made things slightly awkward as this was on the shop floor near the entrance.

The food itself, chips were very standard. Burger was definitely how they name the shop. It was just standard! Nothing to wait and go crazy for. However the wings were nice! Different taste with the cheese and loved it!

I do feel it is slightly overpriced for what they are serving but it seems to be working!

5/10 would recommend if you’re local but won’t bother...
