It was Iftar time me and a couple of people were in a rush to find a good place. We came across this shop and I heard great things from the people I know that came here . As a local guide I had to check this place out. Alhamdulillah it was amazing we came pretty much last minute but their customer service was on point and made sure we can get a table. We were able to pray Magrib together with a bunch of people at the bottom which was nice. Onto the food The Hollywood Chicken Burger Single was really good an 8/10 the sauce was really nice and went well with it. I also tried The Hollywood Beef Burger double with my brother which was a 7.5/10 but maybe my brother gave it an 8.5/10; chips I would say were a 7/10 if sauce came with it that would be nice and it might be an 8/10. The appetisers Calamari was unique I have to give it a 7.5/10 since it was nice and crispy chicken out a stick with a soothing sauce. The summer hot sauce Buffalo Chicken wings was an 8.5/10 it wasn't spicy but tasty by far due to the sauce. The food for 3 people was close to 50 pounds and was 100% worth the price . Thank you for your patience and I loved the fact we were told that food could take up to 1 hour which was understandable due to the time we came but the food was done in 25 minutes and it didn't seemed rushed cus the presentation and the quality didn't...
Read moreThis place is absolutely amazing. I went here as I had time before my screening at the Genesis cinema (very well situated for a pre or post film meal, 2 minutes walk tops) I must say it was entirely worth it.
I came in and I was greeted with really friendly service. The restaurant itself was really welcoming in how it was decorated and was pleasant to be in, with the wooden theme very prominent and homely.
When ordering, I was already on the fence about ordering a drink, but the waiter pushed the mojitos, saying how fresh it was, and I'm so absolutely glad he did. The Peach mojito was amazing. Refreshing, flavoursome and definitely well paired with the food.
Appetisers I had the Satay Prawn which was amazing, the sauce was rich and played with texture which I love. The chicken pad Thai I ordered (although I put in all the chilli flakes, DO NOT DO THAT, and it was incredibly spicy because of it), I enjoyed as it had lots of flavours, rich of the sauce balancing with fresh of the herb and the soft chicken and the noodles complimenting the grounded nuts.
This place was absolutely amazing, and the only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because of there being no card payments. This has easily been one of my favourite restaurants, bar the lack of card payments. Will most...
Read moreI feel bad writing this, I never leave a bad review (check my profile) however on this occasion I must make an exception.
The service was poor, the ambiance terrible, the whole evening was unfortunately a shambles. We ordered, a prawn satay starter and a prawn curry... Should be simple enough eh? 45 minutes later we were brought a chicken curry and asked "why didn't you tell me you're pescatarian"...... We never ordered any chicken, so this question perplexed me. If someone brings me a bottle of Dom Pérignon and I didn't order it, I don't expect them to be questioning me as to why I didn't tell them I don't drink alcohol....
Oh and btw, no alcohol allowed in this restaurant, which for a placed called "Thai n Pie" (Thailand: famous for Singa beer) and "Pie" (which assuming an English pie, England being very famous for beer... And for that matter pies) is ever so slightly ironic wouldn't you say?
Anyway - I can't fault the quality of the dishes we were (finally) served, and the I doubt this is the chef's fault. But as a whole a very disappointing experience.
I truly apologise for leaving this review, I'm sure this was just an off night, everyone is human and we sometimes have bad days. Maybe this was...
