Another venue which has a number of reviews by someone who only has one or two reviews to their name and quotes staff members’ name and how amazing they are without any info on what they consumed or how much it cost. Not suspect at all! Be very wary of the third party review that quote names and decide for yourself if they tell you much about anything detailed - buyer beware.

Turning to the visit there is a new menu on offer which means you know what - higher prices! Also many cocktails they used to do are no longer on the menu. The range is much smaller for anything you can get on happy hour too. In terms of the food menu they have small plates at 3 for £21, despite most items on average being £7 or in some cases less (yes there are a smidge above £7 but it’s hardly sale of the century!).

Having opted for a couple of pina coladas they really weren’t great at all and had an odd after taste. The beer selection was very generic and limited with no cask available (probably to be expected given the target market).

The riverside location is of course great, but this venue was always borderline as to whether to come here or somewhere else in town or on the river. With the scaled back offering and increased prices I won’t be back in a hurry. You can get much better service and quality in places like The Vaults or Be At One nearby for the same price or a bit less, so it’ll be one of those next time.

In reply to company: The review does relate to high prices, but also stated the pina colada was sub par and didn’t taste very nice. The quality is simply not good enough. I think it’s fair to leave an honest review among all the very suspect reviews which don’t talk about anything relevant so it’s a cheek to ask me to remove a review! If you want me to talk about food I can refer to a visit a couple of months back where I got one of the side dishes which was mediocre and a tiny portion for the price. As for the service it was functional rather than polite. They need to focus on sorting out all their dodgy reviews which are misleading rather than trying to remove an honest review from someone who doesn’t know the staff or is clearly made up and is at odds with the integrity of Google...

I don't usually bother writing reviews but our Tuesday visit was below all expectations. We celebrated a special occasion (flowers etc - hard to miss) and the staff totally ruined it for us. They were unprofessional and not attentive, half of the times at the bar we felt ignored. Let me mention there were 3 tables in the whole pub besides us! Music was super loud (who for on Tuesday evening?), food below average, but the worst was the bottle of wine we got served at the end. First 2 bottles of Pinot Grigio were really nice but then, after we paid for the 3rd one, the waitress advised they have run out of the Pinot. She offered to choose another wine instead and we decided to go for Sauvignon Blanc Brancott Estate New Zealand -and that wine was just terrible, it tasted like it has gone off! Waitress did not offer for us to taste the wine before opening the bottle, and when we complained afterwards (the bottle was nearly full still), she refused to issue a refund or replace with another wine. Highly unprofessional and below all standards. At 21.45 staff has advised that the bar is closed and when another friend joined us around 21.50 they refused to serve him a drink. The pub supposed to be open until 23.00 according to the website?! If I could give zero stars I would! All together a horrible experience and we...

I would’ve given a 1* review but one of the servers boonie i think her name was, was really lovely. Having said that as a manager myself it was utterly shambolic. Imagine you’ve got a booking of 16 people for a 50th birthday, you’ve had to preorder to make sure it’s all there to then be told they’ve ran out of what we pre ordered. Our booking consisted of starters mains and dessert one of us was going to be an hour late. We were told it would be fine the tables ours until 8 (as we had kids) So the booking got shortened from 8pm to 7pm giving myself about 40 minutes to eat from when they started cooking it all. When the kids ice creams came out we found plastic in the bowl. Didn’t even remove it from the bill. One of the staff actually argued back with us how she didn’t want to tell us they didn’t have enough of the food we pre ordered. 🤦🏽‍♂️ To be honest the whole time we were very calm about it all but come on. Where even was the manager? I know we’re all short on staff but come on. Edit: changed to a 1* as they’ve asked me to email them and it’s been about a month with...

Visited the slug & lettuce in richmond for a joint birthday brunch for 15 people. Booking was straight forward and we were able to be all seated together. Although we booked for 15, there was someone that we wished to add on last minute but the venue refused to accommodate even though there was seating available and the additional person would be paying as everyone else was. After numerous complaints the staff agreed to allow the additional person to stay but made it clear that they werent happy. I paid a deposit for the brunch and then a separate one for the drinks reservation after the brunch however i did not get my deposit back for the drinks and had to call the customer service team to get reimbursed which was very inconvenient. I would however say that we were served by a lovely gentleman throughout our visit who was lovely and very attentive; definitely an asset to company. Food was lovely and a good portion for what was included in the price but not sure that we would return due to how rude the bar manager was and the overall experience.

We're bunch of friends who normally gather every month for socialising, drinks and nibbles. It was our first time that we went to Slug & Lettuce - Richmond to try a new place. Though, hosts were friendly but there was not huge options for beers or other regular drinks. Service and nibbles were good and satisfying in their own but more limited portions compared to some other pubs. I think it's good to try it for more private and personalised dates rather than group gatherings and socialising. Settling next to the River Thames is one thing which attracts many people specially in spring till autumn.

What a great experience!!!!!! From the outside it looks like a normal pub, but inside is really fun and cute. We had lunch and drinks here. My partner had a chicken burger and he said it was one of the best he has ever had. So for that we would thank Chef Noah. My nachos were also great. The staff were really friendly and our waitress Nicoleta was particularly amazing. The drinks are 2-4-1 cocktails and come in really cool mugs. The prices are really good, the food quality is really good and would 100% recommend this to everyone!!!!!
