Went here for a night to catch up with my girls, we had dinner drinks and shisha. The food is very tasty but the portions for the prices are a little bit smaller than your typical Turkish restaurant, however Smoque is not your typical Turkish restaurant, they have styled themselves as a more upmarket venue and it shows. The interior is dark and sexy with mood lighting and candles everywhere. They've set up spaces specifically for taking photos and selfies. They used to have a racist artifact on display but after repeated customer feedback they removed the offending item and apologised. The restaurant was VERY busy and unfortunately our table was in an awkward place near the kitchen so I kept on getting knocked and brushed by the servers as they rushed around. The cocktails are top notch, well balanced and a decent amount of alcohol for the prices, The Turkish Iced Tea cocktail can be dangerous! The shisha was ok, ours was quite harsh and 'ashy', it seems like some of the servers in the shisha section have the expertise in the set up and 'maintenance' during your session and the others don't. Several people were celebrating their birthday that evening and the restaurant play their traditional Happy Birthday song and get everyone involved which is quite nice. Overall I would recommend this place but I suggest visiting at...
Read moreFirstly i would like to address the portions of the starters and how unbelievable the prices are for the amount given. For the nachos we were given 4 pieces of nachos and some sauce for £8. It’s a scam. Next the halloumi we were given 3 pieces of halloumi for £6. I found this restaurant not acceptable one bit. Then I would like to point out your staff. When we were sat, every 5 minutes this member of staff would constantly ask if we were ready to order and not give enough time to think especially that this is our first time at SMOQUE. Then this same staff member was always walking past ONLY our table and looking over and staring and saying nothing else making us feel uncomfortable and not able to speak. The worst part is once we were done with our food we were talking and chatting then another member of staff started wiping the tables and clearing everything and was getting in between us and not saying excuse me or sorry. I think it’s right to start cleaning the tables after we have left rather than getting in the way of us and our conversations and not saying a word and interrupting us. Honestly this whole experience was very pressurising and we felt judged a lot.As a group of girls I honestly believe that we have been mistreated and scammed. The food was good but for the portion size and the price it’s not...

On an arrival we was greeted with a lovely warm welcome & seated instantly.
The staff are fantastic and no request is too much trouble.
Tables, crockery & glass ware was nice & clean.
This is my second time attending the Smoque's in Bromley. It's a hidden gem nestled in Bromley town and by far one of the tastiest's cleanest eateries I've been to.
The Lamb Adana was juicy, meaty and packed with flavour.
The side salads & sauces are free but exceedingly yummy. The salads are sprinkled with Sumac & drizzled with lemon juice which tickles the tastes buds & jazzes up a simple cabbage.
I also had a delicious side of tomato bulgar wheat which packs a full blown flavour punch.
Everything is fresh & made to order.
The atmosphere is a whole vibe which a mix between Middle Eastern music and a little reggae. There was four birthday celebrations on whilst dinning & the whole restaurant indulges in birthday clapping & sing song.
It was noted that Smoque's can seat parties so that was a plus.
Would highly recommend for couples or large parties.
Plenty of parking on the road outside or close by at Waitrose which is a couple minuets walk.
Highly Recommend...
