We’ve been customers of this restaurant for about three years and have always really enjoyed the food – even since the rebrand/change of management. The service has always been decent but tonight we were so disappointed by the service we received.
The food was good to give credit where it’s due, but our evening was dampened by the service. We were served by a waiter who was pleasant enough, if a little perfunctory, but when his shift finished – after we received our mains – we were completely ignored. We waited over 30 minutes for someone to clear our plates, and several members of staff had passed and looked at our table during that time. Finally, after my boyfriend piled up our plates, a woman came and grabbed them – she didn’t even say “sorry for the delay”, took our glasses and left. No offer of dessert, coffee, other drinks (we had planned to have desserts but decided to just leave), and of course no apology. We ordered the bill and it was just thrown on the table. They have a loyalty card scheme with stamps when you dine regularly, so we at least asked for our card to be stamped but were told this is now Monday-Thursday only, despite us recently using it on a Friday and Sunday. They also hadn’t even topped up our water once during our visit.
We are sad because we always really liked it there and live just down the road, but sadly there are better Bromley restaurants with more respectful, attentive service, so probably won’t...
Read morecame here to celebrate a birthday party with reservations all booked up, as we walked in the manager came up to us asking for bookings and we showed them and they said they had called my friends number 7 times when they had only called twice, the reservation was already made and we had already stated how many people were going so there was no reason for us to be unwelcomed and shouted at. the manager got angry at all of us but finally let us come in and order, the only thing that was quite nice was our waiter and the scenery! all of the workers who were higher up in their job were very rude and stuck up. we waited more than and hour for the food the arrive burnt and another half an hour to get the bill actually pay, as we were a big group all of us were paying separately and when I said I was paying for me and my sister the waiter said he did not care and to just hurry up with paying after we waited for so long. just when we were leaving we said our thank you’s and the rude worker sarcastically said bye and told us to call back next time!! also one more thing is that this place is very racially motivated and the food here is very mediocre for the prices you have to pay. will NOT be coming...
Read moreWe walked in at 2.40pm and asked about the soup, whether it was glutenfree. The staff originally said yes, as it was tomato. I asked if they could check with the chef as the stock might have wheat in. After some debate one went to ask, as they weren't sure. It was glutenfree, but if not they're not sure, THEY SHOULD NOT GUESS. They sat us down for the soup, after which a waiter ran up with menus and said to order quickly as the kitchen was closing. I told him we had ordered. I then asked when they closed and a waitress said NOW, then she she said 3pm. So what do we do....leave? The soup came with no bread- there were two of us and my partner is not glutenfree. He asked for bread which was brought sullenly, with no butter or oil. There was no glutenfree bread for me although they do other glutenfree items. Whilst eating the soup the waitress started clearing the condiments off other tables and placing them on the bar counter which was next to my face...yes she went past my face with them. How rude! They charged service charge for this! I won't be going...
