The small things matter. I had the pleasure of happening upon this place during a morning stroll to the Marylebone Farmers’ Market. Tucked into a large, multipurpose residential complex is a small room with a simple layout, bustling with coffee-related activities. The decor is modern and minimalist, and although the seating is limited, the space never feels cramped, nor do the acoustics suffer. The coffee is exceptionally good – so good, in fact, that it might be one of the best cappuccinos I’ve ever had. The baristas are exceptional: knowledgeable about the intricacies of their craft and the brewing processes. About halfway through my creamy cappuccino, a barista walked over and placed a glass of water on my table, a small gesture to cleanse my pallet and exemplifies, the small things matter.

Great Coffee but not worth the head Tried this spot twice now. The coffee? Delicious, can’t fault it. But everything else feels designed to make you leave quickly… which is ironic, considering every table is occupied by solo laptop warriors nursing one drink for hours. The acoustics are brutal, concrete floors, high ceilings, zero soundproofing. By the time I left, I wasn’t sure if it was the caffeine or the echo chamber giving me a headache. Seating is… aspirational. No water offered… To be fair, the staff is lovely, warm and welcoming despite the chaos. But a beautiful space with great coffee deserves a better experience.

Special Guests Coffee was one of the highlights of our London trip. This isn’t just another coffee bar—it’s a place where genuine passion, deep knowledge, and thoughtful design come together to create something truly special.

From the moment you step inside, it’s clear how much care has gone into every detail: the atmosphere is calm yet intentional, beautifully designed without being overdone—an environment that invites you to slow down and actually experience your coffee.

But what truly sets Special Guests apart is the team. Their knowledge about coffee is exceptional, and not in a performative or intimidating way. They take the time to guide you through their offerings, sharing stories and insights that deepen your appreciation of each cup. It’s clear they’re not just serving coffee—they’re sharing something they deeply understand and love.

Whether you're a coffee nerd or someone who just enjoys a great flat white, this place makes you feel like you're in good hands. It’s warm, welcoming, and quietly brilliant.

A must-visit for anyone who values quality, thoughtfulness, and a little bit of magic in their daily brew. We'll for...

I visited during their second week of opening, so I totally get that they’re still finding their feet. The shop has a super clean, sleek design—lots of stainless steel and a lab-like vibe, which I really liked.

The house pourover was really good, but I found the decaf espresso a bit too sharp and acidic for my taste. The main thing I felt was missing was more engagement from the staff. They weren’t as attentive or excited about the coffee as I expected for a place that prides itself on carefully selected varieties. I had to ask about the flavors instead of them offering up any details, which felt like a missed opportunity to connect more with the coffee and the customer.

Pastries were displayed nicely, but without labels. When I asked for a recommendation, the response was just about whether I liked sweet things—nothing about what might pair well with the coffee I had.

To be fair I know it’s a brand new shop. I’m sure they’ll find their rhythm with more time and the overall experience will match the promising look and good...

I had the pleasure of visiting Special Guests Coffee in London, and I can confidently say that it was one of the most exceptional coffee experiences I’ve ever had. As someone who is incredibly particular about coffee—both in taste and technique—I rarely come across a café that truly impresses me. But here, I was left in absolute admiration.

The baristas are true artisans, deeply invested in their craft. Every step of their process was executed with remarkable precision, from the grind size to the extraction timing. I watched as one barista adjusted the dose by just 0.01 grams—an attention to detail that most people wouldn’t even notice.

The result? A cup of coffee so extraordinary that my friend Sven, who joined me, said it was the best he’s ever had in his life.

If you care about coffee beverages, not just as a drink but as an art form, Special Guests Coffee is a must-visit. It’s not just about caffeine here—it’s about passion, precision,...
