Starbucks — Restaurant in London

Truly abysmal. Overflowing bins, tables that look like they’ve hosted a food fight, and staff who seem to think ‘service’ is a dirty word. Ten minutes in a queue for coffee, another five waiting for it, only to be handed a 5 quid cup of liquid regret. But why be shocked? It’s par for the course in Failed State TM UK, where customer service is now an abstract concept. To add insult to injury, the only reason I was subjected to this travesty was because BA—another shining beacon of mediocrity—failed to disclose a 70 min flight delay and of course have no lounge facilities for their customers at T5 C gates, a terminal they operate on a monopoly basis. The silver lining? I’m already airside and just moments from fleeing this overpriced dystopian theme park, plus, the plane is an Airbus so I’m a decent chance to make it to my destination…. San...

There is no other food establishment in T5C. I ordered food and beverage and cookie. All quite tasty and served promptly.

I decided I wanted to buy 2 little "London" Starbucks mugs for my 2 grandchildren. They are in little unsecured (I would find out) display boxes and one fell out of the box and broke. I placed in on the counter and explained that it fell out of the box as it is not secured in the box. I then placed 2 on the counter to pay along with another sandwich. No receipt was offered. So I asked for one. I was charged for 3 without the ability to keep thee broken one.

No offer of receipt along with not being able to keep something I paid for is not acceptable. Maybe they thought without giving me a receipt I wouldn't notice? Or ask for the receipt?

Shame on you...

Awful staff and service. Asked the guy what a blonde latte was - said it was a “special bean which was stronger with more caffeine” ... I like strong coffee so ordered it. I Googled this after I left the cafe and it was complete rubbish he just made it up as he didn’t know - in fact it seems to be the opposite a lighter coffee for those who don’t want the strong taste. Also when my coffee was ready, which they took my name for, they said the name for someone else so mine sat there while others behind me were getting their drinks and leaving. I only realised later as nobody cared that I had been standing there for ages. None of the staff were wearing their masks properly on their face and talking non stop so splattering all over everything ... avoid this place...
