I went in to do some work while my car was being serviced next door. I bought a coffee - which was decidedly average - and after about an hour and a half was asked - presumably by the owner - if I wanted another one. I thought he was being pleasant. I said no thanks. He then proceeded to tell me the cafe wasn’t a workplace and that I couldn’t sit there all day having bought just one coffee. The kicker is I was about to consider buying my lunch there. Friendliest cafe this side of the Thames! If you find yourself in the area needing a cuppa, do yourself a favour and drop in. Great coffee, excellent bacon or sausage rolls and a decadent brownie were just some of the highlights of our 4 days of patronage but what really sets this place apart is the owner Tony and his right hand Marta who felt like old friends fast. As our Airbnb room was just 2 minutes from here, this was a perfect place to have breakfast. The owner is a very friendly guy serving sandwiches, bagels, cookies.
